How long ago?

I first went to Tenerife in the summer of 1970, with my parents. The 'south' was undeveloped at this time, as the only airport was in the north. I have since brought my own children and now come with my wife twice a year. We always stay in Puerto de la Cruz. Any one else have any memories of Tenerife around this time?
