First time going to Thiland

Hiya I have been talking to a good lady friend of mine for over a year on the internet and I have decided to maybe pop over and see her the thiland, to be honest I know not much abt Thaliand, as I travel mainly in Europe, so I have a few questions about costs and customs etc.

Ok the village my friend lives in is Udon thani, does anyone have any reviews on this resort or area

What is the exchange rate i see rooms for 1000 bhat a night in pounds and pence this is?

Are there any customs i should respect out there

when is best to go not bothered abt what is high or low season cheaper the better

Anyone recomend a agent that is cheap and has anyone got any prices could share

yer 1000bt is about £15.00 ubdon is a bit in the sticks i think you best go to pattaya or phuket for first time be carfull she might have lots of friends on internet may be after a bit of your money food is verry cheap over ther and beer just look around i have being about 24 times get back to me for enything you want to know
