Thailand rain june

Hey, I was planning on going to thailand in june this year for a couple of months but I've heard that as its monsoon season, the rain can be REALLY heavy at times. I really want to go, but I also want it to be nice and sunny. Is it just going to be raining and then cloudy for the rest of the time? How many days a month does it rain and for how long?

If anyone can give me any info i'd really appreciate it, or even tell me somewhere other than europe thats nice to go around that time. Cheers.

maybe will rain 2 or 3 times but no problem,usually only for an hour at a time
