| Theres dilute thats soft..and cocktails. There is a thomsons drinks menu floating around somewhere on here, probably in the thomson cruises section. I always go AI wherever possible and get determined to go over what ive paid, often doubling and nearly trebling it. Local draught beer is included, plus house spirits and some cocktails from the top of my head. Also speciality coffee's and tea's i think (although you can make your own)

| Well if its soft flat drinks probably not. Saying that though a can of coke is normally around £1 so if they drink coke like fish then it does work out good. But the AI package has to be taken by all travellers in the party, so you should sum it all up about how much you will be drinking to see if it will pay off for you all. If your bar bill for you all will possibly work out under £450 then its probably an option to do without it.

Hi kroni,
Welcome to HW and the cruise forum.
Basically its as John has said, but if the offer is £74 each then even with average drinking its a good offer. if they are asking full price of £179 then its not.
If you want to work it out roughly then take a look at these prices.
cocktails £2.85,
Virgin Cocktails (for Kids) £1.65 Colas etc £1
Spirits £ £2.40
Wine £2.25
Lager & draught beer £2.30
canned beers £1.95
Those are just average prices from top of my head, but would think they are within 25p. we are fairly heavy wine drinkers but rarely spend over £300 on our bar bill over 7 days
Or roughly two bottles a day plus a few old glasses round the pool or in the bar

| Thought Thomson were doing free upgrades to AI on all their cruises in 2008, at least that is the deal we had when we booked for the Emerald.

| Hi Tinbug We were not offerred all inclusive when we booked the Emerald for June this year. We thought £147 each was a bit expensive as you are normally off the ship during the day. We do have one or six in the evenings and find its usually pub prices anyway.

| Hi again, This will be our first cruise. Really looking forward to it. Can you let me know if I need to take a tie for my husband for the dining room, I know he has to wear trousers and shirt, but a tie? He really hates dressing up. More of a Jeans and Joggers type of guy. Haha.
Will look forward to that drink.

| Hi again tinbug
Your husband doesn't have to wear a tie for dinner, except on the Captains Dinner night. My husband forgot to pack one when we did the Celebration last November but he wasn't the only one. Smart/casual clothes for the main restaurant are fine, no shorts tho. Shirts and trousers are fine. The deck restaurants are fine for shorts and t-shirts. Its our anniverary on the Saturday so hoping he will make the effort!! You will just love cruising. The celebration was our first cruise. We did the Red Sea cruise, saw Jordan and Egypt. The pyramids, valley of the kings, and Petra were amazing. We are now dedicated cruisers, and you will love it. We are doing this one to see what the other Greek islands are like. After the cruise our friend is meeting us at the port and we are staying with her for a week before flying back home. Five weeks to go and getting sooo excited! Will see you in the bar for a drink or six?!!
I have seen on other sites that its cheaper to do the trips rather than book them thru Thomsons. Fancy sharing a cab? Talk soon

| Would love to meet up with you for a drink. We are going with my sister & brother-in-law so would be doing any excursions with them, independantly, of course. I am average height & tubby with short brown hair. My old man is 6' and tubby, look for scar on right knee, He has recently had knee replacement. I too am looking forward. My husband has now asked me to stop buying clothes. haha.
Cheers for now Liz & John

| PS - Listen out for Welsh Accent. Sorry but the accent seems to come out more after a drink or three.

| Hi Liz How's hoppy doin? Hope his knee is ok. There will be plenty of walking to do. I am recovering from a broken ankle so will be a perfect match. Maximum speed - SLOW! Bet I can manage to get to the bar tho. I have bought some new clothes as well - its got to be done! Looking forward to meeting you all.
Linda
