HIYA TAKEN AN 18 MONTH OLD ON THE DESTINY LAST YEAR,UNFORTUNATLY NOT MUCH TO DO FOR THEM AS THOMSON CRUISES KIDS CLUB ONLY TAKES OVER THREES, DID TRAVEL ON THE CELEBRATION IN FEB THIS YEAR BUT WITHOUT CHILDREN ALL I CAN SAY IS ALL STAFF ARE VERY ATTENTIVE TOWARDS CHILDREN AND ARE EXCELLENT ENTERTAINERS. HAVE A GOOD CRUISE ,CELEBRATION IS OF EXCELLENT STANDARD.

Advice For Taking A 2yr Old.

well i have just returned on Ocean village 1, to greek isles, with my grandchildren aged 6 and 3.. the base camp on board is excellent.

the children are put into age categories, the 3 year old wnet with the 2 to 3's and 6 year old in a different room with the older children..they can go at anytime really starting at 9 oclock from what I remember, of course if you were off ship and on the beach, they would not attend base camp, but we would come back they would have their special childrens tea at 5,00 pm. then they would go into base-camp at 7.00pn, the adults would go and have their tea in peace, then have a drink in the oval bar and collect the children at about 9,30 pm..

You can put the children in the nursery for overnight if you wish, but this is charged and you can leave them on board if you leave the ship, but this is also charged.. but if you are on board the base camp is free.

base camp is on deck 11, and at the back of the club.. there is a fully netted deck with, with toys and their own little wading pool, which is great for infants... bigger kids would use the pool on deck 12.

the staff are fabulous, and the children loved it..as there are so many activities for them, pool olympics..pirates, face painting, etc., etc.,

i would fully recommend it. go to www.oceanvillageholidays.co.uk

Hi Bilty,

have put some photos of childens deck etc., for you to look at..you won't be dissapointed by OV1.. but I would go on the cyprus, Rhodes route as there are many beach opportunities for your little one, and then he can go into base camp in the evening, he will be well worn out?
