Hi Peter,

All shipboard spending is in pounds and goes onto your shipboard account via your personal access card. At end of cruise you can pay in cash (pounds). Or by credit card which must be registered at start of cruise. I would recommend you pay by credit card because queues are long on the final day, and with a card you just receive your bill in your cabin and if its ok thats it.

Most currencies are accepted in Eygpt, but would suggest you check out the Eygpt forum for up to date information on this and the Visa question, having never flown there can't be sure.

If you post that question in that forum Iain can give you all the details.

Peter,

You will not require visas if you are staying on the Sinai area. This includes the areas of Old Sharm and Naama Bay.

If you intend to travel to other destinations within Egypt, then you will need a visa costing around 15

Dont be bullied into one if you dont need one! They will try it on!

We will be staying for a week in sharm for Christmas week, then we join the ship for cruising on the 28th Dec just nice to see in the New Year. Been on lots of cruises before but this is the first time on the Celebration Red Sea Magic. We have been reading all the reviews of this ship and on Sharm its sounds really Magic!!
