christmas cruise celebration

we have just booked for a cruise and stay tenerife/ el=tope over the christmas period, I would be grateful for any information about this ship and hotel.

hi Fussydolphin,

There are a few reviews of the Celebration in the cruise review forum.
Any specific questions I will try to answer here. as with most Thomson ships you will find the crew and with some reservations passengers very friendly, its great for a Christmas cruise, either that week or the proceeding week.

El Tope hotel is in Puerto de la Cruz, about 1 hour coach ride from where you dock, all transfer are taken care of. P de la Cruz is a lovely place to stay over Christmas. from the El Tope you can walk down to the main square where there are countless bars and resturants. worth a visit to 'the parrot park' which it is not but the Penguin attraction is fantastic, try to do this Mon thru Thrus but not Xmas day/Boxing day when local swarm there. El Tope does have a few steps to climb being on a hill, but is a very nice hotel.

Tours worth taking are the 'free' bed tour which is a ride round different villages, finally stopping for about a 15-20 minute talk on beds, don't be put off certainly worth doing, and its free. the whole Island tour is also ok at 30 Euros.
