Celebration in the Canaries

Hi All,

We are taking our first ever cruise on the 26th of December on the Celebration. Can any one advise what weather we can expect in the Canaries at this time of year and can anyone tell us if there is anything special onboard for celebrating New Year.

Celebration in the Canaries

Hi - we did the same cruise last year on the Destiny for New Year. The weather was sunny, dry and pleasantly warm most days (hot enough to sunbathe). Last New Year's Eve the Destiny was in Maderia and the whole night was brilliant - gala dinner in the restaurant, great deck party with live band, hats and giant party poppers handed out, and then to cap off a great night at midnight everyone was up on deck to watch the massive firework display. We had a grand view of the bay of Funchal and the fireworks are out of this world.

I think the itinary has changed this year and the Celebration won't be in Maderia, but wherever you are you are guaranteed a great party night.

I hope you have a great holiday.
