I have been reading the same things about it being cramped, but I guess you only sleep in the cabin - so can it be that bad? Can you upgrade after booking? I'm worried a bit about engine noise, so if anyone knows good cabin numbers - please do share!
I've only been on the Topaz (thomson's old boat that they got rid of about 5 years ago!), so I only have that to compare with. I'm sure it will be good compared to that. We don't expect too much for the price, so hopefully should be pleased. One thing I liked on the Topaz was that it wasn't only local spirits on the All Inclusive - it included some brand names, and some nice cocktails!

Thats true we will only be sleeping in it and after a few free cocktails it won't matter how cramped it is because i'll fell asleep anywhere.

Hi going on same cruise on 1st May 2008.
We have been on The Destiny before.
Yes cabins are small but didnt find it a problem at all and for what time you spend in them they are ok .
Thoroughly enjoyed the cruise cant wait for May !!

Cabins are about the same size as most lines. Island Star cabins are some of the biggest we've seen and stayed in, (standard inside) rowing on the lowest decks. You shouldnt have too much of a problem, you spend minimal amounts of time in the cabin anyway.

We stayed in cabin 210 and it was very spacious although paid 1000 each for it. Recommend that you go on the cruise excursion to Casablanca as, walking into the town, is not very nice, just along a concrete wall alongside the railway for about a mile. Then its the fish market.

Me and my partner are going on the same cruise on the 1st May 2008.Its our first cruise together and I am a bit worried because we booked an inside cabin and the reviews I have read are mostly all bad. Still looking forward to it though. Can anyone tell me what the food is like?
We see you all soon .

Food is lovely, after one of our trips on the Destiny I sat next to a man on the plane home who regularly goes on P&O and Cunard cruises and he said the food was as good as on the QE2 - it really impressed him so don't panic on that score.
I am doing Moorish Delights in June so if any of the visitors to this thread get the chance, would be grateful if they'd come back and post any information e.g. available excursions and costs, DIY port tips etc.!
