Red Sea Magic

As I said in my post above tours are expensive on the Red Sea Magic cruise.

However from one who has done almost every one of these tours I can honestly say they are worth the money.

It is a case of 'You will only do them once' the heat and traveling time makes them very tiring, most are very early morning starts, to miss the heat of the day in the coaches. That said Petra, Valley of the Kings and parts of Cairo, are un-missable.

Do plan your tours, but allow one rest day between them.

Have a great cruise.

PS this is a fairly cheap cruise some months of the year, so you can always return and see the rest.

Reason: Added a PS as no point in using exsisting treads they are never read.

Hi Leanne26

My partner and i are also going on the red sea magic on the 26 Nov 09.

We have managed to find quite a bit of info regarding the excursions, have a look on the Thomson's website.

We are on the all inclusive drinks package so we havent spent much time investigating this.

Where are you travelling from?

Cant wait, not long to go now!

we did the Red sea magic in April and enjoyed it very much, the excursions are expensive but worth doing, about £70 for full day but some half day ones are cheaper . we did the cairo museum and the pyramids. which includes a buffet lunch in a good hotel. beware of the toilet atendent in the cairo museum she charged me the equivalent of £5.60 to use the toilet. we also went on the submarine trip which was lovely to see the fish and coral in their natural habitat.we had a meal one night in siroccos which is well worth the extra £15 the all inclusive drinks package is well worth having. we have booked to go again on the spirit next year but to the Greek Islands this time.

Hi Leanne,

Myself & my Husband are also going on the Red Sea Magic cruise on 26th November.

We've been to Egypt twice before, but never done the cruise.

So excited!!! Also got the all inclusive free upgrade when booked.

We have been to Cairo before on a day trip. It was good, but i don't think that i'd go again. Don't let that put you off though, because I think it's a place everyone has to see once in their life. The museum was something else. So interesting, I could have spent a few days in there.

Egypt is HOT! we clocked 100 degress on our balcony at 7.30 in the morning once, so be aware.

Where are you flying from?

The Celebration looks so friendly, ideal for us "first time cruisers".
