Taster short cruises
Has anybody been on one of these taster cruises? We have been with Thomson cruises 6 times over the last few years and i am taking my elderly mum, who has never cruised, on the Celebration 4 day cruise to Ireland next month. Can we expect it to be as good as a weeks cruise? Will we get a bit of everything, eg a baked alaska evening, Captains Dinner , shows as normal, or is everything low budget? As the idea is that people will try this and book again for a full holiday, you may think that they will pull out all the stops(we hope!) Anyway does anybody have any experience of this sort of thing even with a different Cruise Company?

Taster short cruises
Hi Bollinger,
We have been on a few short (taster) cruises, some re-location some just two or three day ones........
All have been great, you can expect all that you would get on a normal cruise, with the exception of a formal night on the two day one.
They sometimes try out new acts for the shows to judge reaction, but most other things are the same. These cruises are usually an in-fill before moving on to the new Itineraries.
Best ones we have found have been Thomson and Royal Caribbean.
WE thought they were worth the money if you had not cruised before, but found them to short to really meet new people.

Cruising is like 'Being in the Garden of Eating'
