I thought when you buy a travel plug it had an American adapter on it as well as a European.

I maybe wrong, but I'm sure mine did.

Anyway, Boots sell a Worldwide Adapter for 5.99. (flat pin for the USA, Australia and the Far East).

The voltage in the cabins is only 110 volt, what voltage are the straighteners?

Ahh... so does that means then you would need a voltage converter aswell?

The Referee,

I bought a European and American travel adapter in 1 from Tesco for 1!!

You will not need a voltage converter - I didn't and they worked fine.

i took american adapter for my straightners but it kept fallin out of the socket so i would also take a european one because if you look back through some of the old threads some one said you can use the plugs in the corridor above your door or unplug the tv and use that i never tried either because i only took the american one

I found that the plug kept falling out too, but if you hook the lead of whatever you're plugging in around the rail just above the socket - it won't fall out!

I am going on Destiny in july and am panicking as my GHD straighteners (UK plug) work on 240v. I realise I will need a voltage converter in order for it to work on the 110v on board but can anyone advise me if I need a voltage converter with a USA type two pin plug? Many thanks.
