We have booked a weeks cruise, in July, on the Destiny and would like to go on an organised excursion in Sardinia and also to Florence.

Has anyone done these exucursions.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks.

Sue

Just got back yesterday from our cruise on Destiny, we did the Florence and Pisa excursion and was very impressed with the tour, you have an English speaking guide with you for the whole day, but be prepaired to do a lot of walking and the tour was for a full 10 hours.
Did not do an excursion in Sardinia, but did them in Nice and Rome all where very good and in my opinion value for money.
Hope this helps.

Thanks very much for your reply.

We thought we would just do the Florence trip, as we went to Pisa four years ago.

Can you tell me what you actually did in Florence?

Also did your tour include lunch, if so was it nice?

Also, I presume the coach had toilet facilities?

Many thanks.

Sue

Firstly no toilet on the coach but they did stop for a comfort break on what we would call a motorway service area, masses of people using these facilitys at a cost of 60 cents per person, the women collecting the cash would have been better using her time cleaning the toilets that were not very hygenic.

Lunch was not included in our tour but the guide did recomend a place to eat and the food was great at a reasonable price, she also ate there with us.

We did a lot of walking visited the main square, church, basilica, the famous bridge and a square that had a lot of M Angilos statues these were really impressive.

Enjoy Florence we did, but a little disapointed with the amount of graphity that was every where that you looked.
