I have booked to travel on the destiny for 14 nights summer 2008 and I have noticed there doesn't appear to be a launderette onboard, does anyone know if there are any laundry facilities or will I have to wait until I dock and fimnd a launderette?
Thanks

I cant believe people worry about washing when they are on holiday.
But still, you can have your dirty clothes taken away by putting them in the bag in the cabin and leaving them for the cabin steward/ess to take away. A local charge is applied and documented on the bag.

Thanks for the info, I wish I didn't have to worry about washing but with 2 teenage daughters I'd never manage to fit 14 different outfits for each in a suitcase. Have you any idea how much the local charges are likely to be, (I understand prices do change but an educated guess would be great)
Thanks

Hi
I seem to remember they are like hotel prices. It's by the item rather than by the load. I'm far too miserable to pay to have my washing done :0)
There's a few places you could hang a few things to dry if you did hand washing. There's over the wardrobe doors (3 of them and the're sort of open at the top). There's also a small pull across airer in the bathroom, like a single string but it's only about the width of a small bath towel so not that useful. Or improvise with some coat hangers - there's a few hooks in the cabin too. You could probably manage to wash 2 or 3 tops each day and dry them in the cabin. Of course irons are banned from being used in cabins, and I don't know where you'd actually be able to use one. Well there's a pull out table under the dressing table, not sure if it's got a lip edge though. 14 nights is quite a while to manage with one set of luggage, so I see where you are coming from.
