Obtaining Currency on board the Destiny

I am going on my first cruise on Destiny over xmas/new year (colourful coasts) and have been reading the reveiws/forums which have been very helpful but wonder if anyone can let me know if it is possiable to obtain currency on the ship - I am taking euros but not sure at moment if I will leave the ship at Morrocco and thereofore may need to obain their currency at the time (I know I can take travellers cheques/use cashpoint etc) but wondered if the ship provides a currency exchange. cheers

On the ship you can use cash in the casino, but otherwise everything gets charged to your cabin, and is all in �s. The ship also carry Euros which they will sell you at reception.

Morroccan Dirhams (MAD) is a closed currency. You cannot buy it anywhere outside Morroco, including on the ship, even when in port. You will have to just pay in �s or Euros, then they will give you change in dirham. I would recommend carrying some small notes, ie �5 and �5 notes. our taxi was 10 euros to the beach (shared with another couple and paid �5 per couple. We got a taxi back for �5. McDonalds didn't want our �5 note, the girl handed it back and I gave her a �5 note instead for 2 small drinks. We used the change, along with a 50c coin to pay for the mini train. We also bought 2 cokes in a cafe which were 10dirhams each I think, and paid with a 2 euro coin. We got no change.
