our boys are always hungry!!! Is it ok to take a couple of rolls or fruit etc from breakfast to take on trips out?? Thanks

Thanks John. its just we have stayed at hotels before and they have a fit if you take food out the restaurant!!!

This would be frowned on if seen, but lots do it.

Just be careful when going ashore with fruit as some Countries have strict inport laws that prohibit the bringing of fruit into the Country.

That said you should be ok in very small amounts.

Excellent thanks. Changing the subject Tenpin..... is it correct you can get a train from the port to Pompeii?? If so have you any details and would you recommend it ?? thanks

Hi Shippets,

We have done Pompelii twice but don't think I can help you, as it was one of my must do properly places, as I am keenly intrested in the whole history on Pompelii.

We did a ships tour first time, which we thought was excellent. The second time we used a private car hire and a guide (booked on web) the wife seems to think it was under �200 for four of us best part of a full day. She is at the moment trying to find you details of it.

I seem to think it was fairly close to the port and with 4/5 of you should be able to do useing taxis, much cheaper than ships tours.
Do buy a guide book before you go, it will at least give you an insight as to what you are seeing.

Thank you Tenpin. We can't wait to go there!! The kids are even more excited since Doctor Who!!! If u did' nt see it it was in Pompeii!!!
