Hi first time cruising on destiny our first port is Tangiers would it be wise to go on excursion or is it safe to do independently?, any info about Tangiers, thanks

Hi Tillys,

Welcome to H/Watchdog.

Some years since I was in Tangiers, but was fairly safe to walk into town and explore then.
You may get pestered quite a bit just be firm and you will be ok, do keep bags, cameras and watches hidden from view, there are now many pickpockets about. and do haggle for anything you want to buy.

If unsure just go into the French Quarter the shops are fixed priced.
