Sorry, not sure where 5065 is, but I'm guessing near the front? We were in 3082 and liked it. Compare with that position, and if it's not too far then I think it will be good. Don't go too near the front or back. Back half of deck 5 is above seven seas, middle would be above reception. I'm not sure really where the cabins are on deck 5 though...isn't that where the show lounge etc are?

we had an outside on deck 5 in 2006. The position was fine except that to get to the bar or Oklahoma lounge in the evening you needed to go down a flight of stairs and back up again to avoid walking through the show lounge when shows were on. Also the cabins all seemed to have L shaped beds which I wasn't keen on - the bed alongside the outside wall (hull?!) was quite cold- it was July!
I think the cabins were all quite similar whichever deck you are on- it's just a case of a good position. We thought it was conveniently placed to get to other decks easily.

We had l-shaped too. Hubby had bed at the window, so I don't know if it was cold. I'm always cold though so I probably chose the correct bed!! lol!

Hi that cabin definitely looks as if it is next to the shop, can't remember the layout of reception area very well, but can't imagine the shop would be noisy!
Our L shaped beds were just like the ones in the Destiny video on Thomson's site- the interior wall bed was actually fixed to the wall and they couldn't be moved. In "day cabin mode" this bed folded up against the wall and the one against the exterior wall became the "settee" with a back cushion that moved up or down. You don't have to do anything with these beds yourself- the cabin steward sees to all that, and if your preference is to have both beds always down, they will leave them like that for you.

Thomson Destiny.

Which are the best cabins to have on decks 4 or 5 for quietness, outside only.
