Hi we've booked a 2 week cruise round the med departing may 31st. I'm hoping some of you may have been on this cruise before and could offer some help/advice regarding any of the trips. There are four of us going, 2 couples, so if the trips are'nt recomended it may be best if we hired a car between us to see the sights? unless your thoughts are we should take the organised tours with the guides. Any help much appreciated.

Hi Nicola welcome to HW and to the dusty tombs of the cruise forum.
On your med cruise with 4 of you your best best is to use local taxis from the dock-side in most cases. use the ships tours guides left in yor cabin to decide what you want to see then just tell taxi where to go. Get price first and haggle.
Most ports in the Med can be done useing hop-on/hop-off sightseeing busses, I will check Destiny's itinerary this week and post again if there are any ports where you should do ships tours. (mainly Rome)
So I'm sure you will enjoy your cruise, check out the cruise forum for further tips for Thomson.
