| We are cruising on the destiny in a few weeks, we would like to know is there a laundry or ironing service onboard ?.If not, is there somewhere to iron your clothes on the ship?
Also does anyone know if we collect our luggage ourselves at the airport,or is it transported seperately and dropped at the ship ?
Any comments appreciated,

| There is a laundry onboard which has an ironing service too.
You have to collect your luggage and take it to the coach and thats the last you see of it until its in your cabin.
On the final night of the ship, place it outside no later than 2am and the next time you see it will be when you identify it by the dockside and take it to the coach to the airport which will be amongst the others on your flight.

| We have just returned from the Destiny and there is a laundry/ironing service. You get a laundry bag in one of your wardrobes and in your welcome pack there is a list of prices depending on what you want.
My husband used the pressing service for his trousers and I believe you have to give 48 hrs notice, we however had a wonderful stewardess called Alexandra who managed to sort it out for us, 20 minutes before hubby needed them and on our final bill I think we were charged £1.75. Alex even offered to iron them herself if this couldn't be done. What a star. The stewards are fantastic and will go out of their way to try and accommodate you!!
I don't think they like to promote using an iron from your cabin for safety reasons. We found that as long as we hung everything up straight away our clothes were fine, stubbon creases will obviously require pressing but other than than you could leave them hanging in the shower room whilst your having a shower, see if the steam can sort some of the creases out, there's two hooks on the back of the door!!
Your luggage is left outside the ship and once you've registered at check in you are issued with stickers to place on your luggage this has your room number on and then you board the ship with your newly issued boarding cards and your luggage is whisked away and should be outside your room within an hour or two. Chance for you to do a bit of exploring, have a cocktail of the day or have something nice at the Lido Cafe.
Enjoy....I am so jealous.
Enjoy.
