Hi Jint

Seen the threads with regard to Buena Viva but haven't seen anything to do with Classic Cruisers.

we have just been caught on this. Can't believe we let ourselves get hooked in. Realised our mistake instantly and are now seeking advice on on the cancellation clause. Luckily the Timeshare Consumers org is very helpful. Has anyone else actually signed up for this and been bale to get out.

Important thing is to write and cancel recorded delivery immediately. Timeshare Consumers Association very helpful. Also do not let them bully you, that is how they make their money. Try not to worry too much about it, I know that is difficult. Write to Ben Bradshaw MP, he is aware of them and will appreciate all the evidence he can get.

We have been to a presentation for classic cruisers at Exeter Business Park in July - we signed up on the day but realised after phoning them a couple of times to clarify points that the whole thing was a scam. Some of our notes made at the meeting containing all the figures also mysteriously went missing. We cancelled our agreement with GE money without a problem and wrote to St Francis Marketing within 10 days. They wrote back to say that we would not be able to cancel the agreement and would have to finance it ourselves. We have decided to ignore this letter and have contacted Trading Standards who appear already to have a lot of information about them. I'm hoping we won't hear any more! I've been told that they have not as yet attempted to take anyone to court and the timeshare organisation tell me that boats are probably covered by a 14 day cancellation period under the Timeshare Act.

duped307, can I ask when you cancelled. We are sending our cancellation letters recorded delivery tomorrow (went to a presentation last Friday). I just wondered what your timescale was so far. Many thanks
