Lewy - some have, but it can be a fight. If you have not already put your concerns to the cc company in writing rather than phoning I would do so - then do as they say with regard to the information that they need. With the information from your timeshare people and the solicitor's advice which I understand you were getting you should be in a good position to succeed.

We were caught in Portugal last November and persuaded to exchange our two timeshare weeks and cash for CCC holiday club. We paid a deposit with our credit card. As soon as I returned I started checking up on the internet where I found this site and realised we had been conned. I sent letters immediately to CCC by recorded delivery to cancel agreement and phoned credit card co. Credit Card co. asked for copies of letters sent to CCC and then credited my account. I did receive a couple of phone calls and letter demanding balance of payment but have heard nothing from CCC or credit card co since December so I am assuming we are okay

Concetta

This is quite important. When you were at your presentation in Exeter, did they use the names of any big name companies to promote CCC?

Fred 2 This is lewey just had a phone call from CCC in Malaga telling me
it a legal and binding contract. I told her to send me my credit
card payment back to which she said it was a legal and binding contract
to which i told her to wake up and to realise it was a scam that they
were doing to which she denied of course. I also told her spanish
law says you can cancel within 7 days to which i did she says there
is no such law out there. I also pointed out that i may not get back
what they said i would 68% - 100% she said if i filled the form in correctly i should get my money back and in the correct timescale.
of sending the form back for my cashback.

Lewey - never speak to these people. They threaten as a matter of course. Keep it all in writing. They are aware of the Spanish 'doorstep selling' law - they just hope that other peole are not.
