Club Greece
Club Greece
Last year in Rhodes I became an 'associate member' with this company, and have just taken the first week (of 5) in Crete. Whist there, I was presented to, looked after, wined and dined and generally fawned over. Anyway, I have signed up for the whole deal (not an inconsequential amount of money!). Does anyone have any information (either good or bad) about their experiences?

Club Greece
My wife and I just got back from a holiday in Rhodos. We were approached by Club Greece to join their scheme, which sounds similar to the one jaycee joined. Although we turned it down (it did not sound like a good deal ... 600ish for one week's accommodation ... 5 weeks hol in 3 years) we did receive a "free holiday" prize (subject to 35 admin fee) for attending the sales pitch.
Has anyone claimed this free prize? The company operating this scheme is Fourcan Travel Ltd, based in Devon. I could not find any information about this company or the legitimacy of the 'free' offer.

 We attended the presentation in RHODES as well, we knew it was TIMESHARE but we thought what the hell lets go anyway we get a free holiday out of it.
We intend to ring the company tommorow and send payment (35) this week.
Basicly from our understatnding the condition is that you have to give up half a days holiday so they can try and sell you a TIMESHARE, fine by me as we wouldn't be able to afford it anyway.
We have had friends that have done simliar things in the past and they got free breakfast and things when they went on the HOLIDAY.
Let me know how you get on and I will do the same.

Be careful.
I have just retired after working for Trading Standards for a number of years.
Club Greece is not covered by the Timeshare Regulations. No cooling off period.
You may find that you have to travel from the airport of their choice, you pay. You may also have to pay for transfers when you get there.
It could make for an expensive holiday!

club Greece
We have also just returned from Rhodes where we had the pleasure of the Club Greece hard sell. During our time with them they repeatedly told us they were not timeshare, but if you go to houseoftimeshare.com click on region, then Europe and then Greece those of you who have been on the grand tour will immediatley recognise the Sun Beach Holiday Club that we were shown around even down to the same tablecloth on the dining table. You will also notice it is listed as timeshare 2330 and its sale price in dollars is only a few pounds different to the equivalent price in pounds we were quoted for membership of this wonderful organisation. There is also a maintenance fee of $350 that they never mentioned. Also when we started sounding like we were getting cold feet the price began to drop, the length of time we had to pay increased and the deposit amount reduced, all to get us to sign up and leave a deposit on our credit card because once we had signed we would have been contractually obligated to paying. Needless to say we passed up this chance of a lifetime to experience holidaying utopia, think about it you pay 650 a week for your holiday accommodation and then you have flights and in many cases transfers to pay. We did win from them one of the most expensive "free" holidays we have ever seen with Fourcan Travel, it appears to have more strings attached than a puppet show and then you have to give them even more time to pester you, we can live without that. It makes wonder if Fourcan is just another subsidury of the conglomerate that owns Club Greece. Anyway those who signed we wish you the best of luck and hope you don't regret it those who didn't like us may have had a lucky escape.

Hi there, my husband & I fell into the trap of joining Club Greece in Rhodes, approx 2 years ago, as a rule we are NOT gullible people, and are generally very cautious, we had the tour & as we were in sub standard accomodation, this seemed a dream come true! We joined as associate members & our 1st holiday in Crete became full members for 26yrs.
Unfortunately it is NOT all it's cracked up to be, we wish we hadn't and are keen to sell it, some 6000 we have lost, we are getting no-where fast .. Any suggestions to help would be greatly appreciated.
We emailed Club Greece, they gave us websites to go onto, non existant. We were aspired by them saying their parent company is RCI an American company, who disassociated themselves from them.
We realise it has cost us & is still doing so as there are yearly maintenance fees.. Iwould ask everyone thinking about it NOT to do it..We were foolish....

not that bad!!!
Hi we are also members of club greece and have been for a few years now, admittedly we did get carried away with the talk etc and probably paid more than we would have liked, but to be honest we have had no hassle and have been able to exchange our weeks quite easily. So it might not be as bad as you think???? Once you have paid the money out, you probably won't get anything like what you paid out for it, so give it ago you might find out that it does work for you ?
Hope this makes you feel a bit better

Re: Club Greece
We attended also such presentation (Club Creece) last summer in Rhodes. We also won major prize (1 week for 4). We have claimed our prize and we also paid admin fees.
We now have a problem: Wed like to ask how and when we are able to use our free week but we have lost this booklet with Fourcans telephone number. So, if someone still have this information, please quote it here!
Presentation was suposed to take no more than 45 minutes. I told NO after 4,5 hours hard presentation. Well, we found out after presentation that we had won this prize. Only by Finnish "sisu" we could last this 4,5 hours walking and talking!

Thank you Judig for this information. I will not wait anymore. I will make a phone call ASAP to find out more information.
We hoped this free week to take place somewhere between June and August, but I would like to check cheap flights from Finland to London in time.
Have you any idea which airport Fourcan uses in London?
