Has anyone heard any update about Echo Beach Vacations ? I too paid �138 so called admin costs and have now found out they have been shut down by the DTI on 14th dec 04 !
If anyone knows of any contact no's/ addresses please let me know

I to have been shafted by Echo Beach Vacations. After attending a presentation by Gold Crown Leisure (mainly on the promise of a FREE holiday) I completed a request form and sent �138 admin fee. I received a confirmation letter and then heard nothing, didly squat. So, today I have decided to chase it up. Here is what I have found.
On the 15th December 2004 they went in to liquidation see www.companieshouse.gov.uk
I contacted the receivers on 0161 9344182. They have collected �9000 worth of assets but the company owes �74000! There is no way you will get any monies. Because the company is limited then the M.D's are not accountable for any losses and cannot be prosecuted. I wonder how much they made out of this scam!! :icon_grrs
There is however a company that has taken over the holidays which are owed. I spoke with them today and they said they were currently writting to everyone concerned (yeah right!) :confused: The company is called Fourcan Travel Limited. Heather Park, Higher Metcombe, Otter St Mary, Devon EX11 1SR. Telephone 01404 815726. They have promised to send me the details of the holiday. I will keep you posted.
My next task is to find the name and address of the owner of Echo Beach Vacations and pay him a visit. I have some questions which I'm sure he would be happy to answer :thumleft: I will post details here if and when I find them.
