this is my first post on this forum. just returned from playa de las americas where after accepting a scratch card i attended a presentation, about an hour or so, for the Freedom Vacation Network, who are i believe are connected to tenlanz vacation. in short the deal was £1650 for 3yrs membership or £10,000+ for life, refundable after 5 yrs i think!. i declined to join, but wondered if any of you have had any dealings with them. are they genuine or not? colin.

Same here - we got the sales pitch (they said it will take an hour, but it were 3 hours). We didn“t buy it because we were not prepared to make a decision involving 12000 pounds so sudden. The allegedly won holiday ("the second best prize") turned out to be rather not for free. Anyway, yesterday someone called to say that a lady wants to sell her life membership for about 2000 pounds. This has also happened to someone here on this list, so that says it all. Included are also 2 free holidays. I said I need to discuss this with my partner as it sounds too good to be true, and now, after reading up, I know why. I also got suspicious when they said all I need to do is to give them my card details. I mean - anyone could phone me and ask for my card details. No way on the phone for something like that !
Thanks all for helping to open our eyes!

Hello everyone! I am sorry to say that my grandma and grandad, both over 80, have been scammed by Freedom Vacation. I am absolutely livid that they have preyed on two very vulnerable individuals and will try my best to get their money back (£2000).

I wonder, does anyone know of anyone who has managed to get their money back?

you must seek professional advice. Some strains of Malaria are now highly drug resistant and it is vital to take the particular one recommended as being the most effective for your destination

If you mean the "travelholiday" post - it is spam and means nothing at all.

Hi Hobbits, Guess we must be a Miraflora fan (sick joke really) we have just returned form our Costa Del Sol holiday and have, since reading on here, been scammed! We used our CC to pay a deposit of £1,000 with the balance of £4,000 approx. due in 2 weeks. ( With Reclaim. ) We will phone the CC company tomorrow to claim our £1,000 back and we will not be sending any more money to the scammers.

ps. We met 'Larry Lloyd' old time footballer for Liverpool and England our lads had their photo taking with him with his 'Caps for England' on. he worked for FVN!

We were actually on a free holiday with flights included from Club la Costa and we were pressured to join but didn't. Their site was much better than Miraflora but then they wanted £11,000 (with £400 a year maintenance!)

Thank you all for your information! so glad I searched the web tonight

Hi, we signed up with Freedom vacation in Feb 2007 in Tenerife. We were promised cheap holidays - we had to pay a fee of 5grand plus points from Club La costa which we had. We were promised a cash back certificate (still awaiting) which would entitle us to money back in 5 years. sent off the Club La Costa deeds as part-payment and still havent heard anything. Tried to phone UK no. but this is rarely answered. Any advice/ideas?

Freedom Vacations is not a very reputable business. I was conned into attending a presentation after accepting a scratch card & allegedly winning a prize. I said at the very outset I was not interested in time share or any other holiday scheme, they insisted it was nothing like that. After an hour of spiel, of course it was a holiday scam. When I asked for the prize I allegedly won, I was offered a weeks holiday in one of their apartments. After declining, I was confronted by a list of swear words describing what they thought of me. My advice- Stay well clear.
