Gold Crown Resort and Ventura 1

Has anyone come across these 2 companies. we signed up to join a holiday club but are unable to find any details of Ventura1 who are supposed to be the UK representatives.

Not the UK representatives - the UK resellers so no point in trying to contact them. They are not the helping kind believe me.

Mention of Ventura is not permitted on this forum for legal reasons so expect this thread to disappear. If you have a problem with Gold Crown you should post details under that name.

My husband & I attended a meeting in Woking June 6th 2008 for Ventura !
holidays.
We would not sign up with them straight away, which they were not pleased about.
We were given a bottle of wine ( no chocs, as promised ) and a form to send off for a free holiday.
We are still awaiting the brochure from which to choose the holiday.
I cannot find any- body to contact so would be very pleased if someone could help.
I did gather that Ventura 1 had an office next to the P&O Ventura office
in Portsmouth or Southampton.

Dabbs - you do not want to have anything to do with this bunch. Save yourself a lot of potential grief and throw any paperwork away.

Tattiedigger - Inreply to your question re the airport we flew into Palma and at no time was there any leaflets in the baggage or diaplayed at the airport or any information from our holiday reps regarding this type of holiday club.
Thanks to every one on the holiday club site we have managed to claw back our deposit, have sent a letter to GCR wishing to cancel our contract well within 28 days, emailed them and sent a letter recorded delivery.
Received a letter back saying that we cannot cancel our contract and have since received a phone call from there legal department stating that we have missed the date for the final payment and they would like us to pay straight away - have no intention of making any further payments but am concerned as to how far they will proceed to obtain the monies before they would cancel contract.
Would be interested in any feedback on this

I stupidly went to a meeting promoting Ventura 1 on the 27th July in Fareham. I was told we would get a M & S voucher for £25.00. Today, 16th September I have received a cheque for £10.00 (this after 2 phone calls) and was told that was all I was promised and I could not have heard right! This company must not be trusted. If they cannot keep their word about a voucher how can they be trusted with over £2000 of your money. Keep away, they are con artists. Titchy.

I sauspect that if it is Fareham it is our old friend Frank Madden who generally operates from that area.
