Thread headed Golden Travel Club - query relates to Golden Travel Limited - which? Helpful if your query gave just a little more detail about what you want to know..

The UK companies Golden Travel Limited and Golden Travel Club Limited were dissolved in November 2007 and April 2008. There is a Golden Travel (Essex) Limited which has been running for over 35 years.

There is a Malta registered company - Golden Travel Club Limited reg no C 33107. This seems to relate to this site:- www.goldentravelclub.com/

There does not appear to be a Golden Travel Limited registered in Malta. If this is in fact the company name which you are after and it is active in the western Med it's probably Gibraltar registered.

Sorry but I cannot make head or tail of this.

Where does Golden Travel Ltd fit in? Where are they? Not in Batley I presume.
Alvita is a holiday club which promotes Connections 6 - some kind of "holidays on a disc" I think - and they organise fly/ buys. What's the problem?

I was on holiday in July tenerife got approach by a person giving away cards and we won the star prize which we had to go to Los Crisitanos
to claim the prize, They gave us a presention on Connet 6. and if we purchaed we would get 7 holidays which we could take ove the next 15 years. We purchased this it cost over £7000 which we paid for by credit cards, When we got home I received a telephone call on Monday 15th July from Alvita Holidays stating that my package would be sent out the next day, because I had not received this package I made several telephone calls to there office and getting not joy, I emailed them to say that I was reclaiming my money back from the credit card companies. I telephoned them again to see if they got my email, this time they gave me a postage tracking number which turned out to have nothing to do with my package. I then got in touch with the credit card companies explained what had happened and they have put in a dispute. The money has been put back on to my accounts. Today I have received 8 holiday request forms Golden travel Ltd Grange Rd Batley W York. (These were posted by Alvita Holida on 9th September) I have checked online with Yellow Pages and BT and can find no trace of Golden Travel Ltd

I have a vague memory from some years ago about an address in Batley, in some mill complex which houses all and sundry, which was used for this purpose. Remembered as Batley seems an odd place for a Tenerife company to have an associate. Details were on an old and dead PC but I will see if I can find anything more.

If the Mods can find a reference to Batley anywhere on old threads?

What I can assure you of is that there is no UK company called Golden Travel Limited nor can I see a record of any overseas company of that name on the UK register as having a place of business in the UK. This is highly suspect.

I would hang on to the vouchers and all correspondence. Any attempt to use them would be seen as an acceptance of the Alvita contract and give them ammunition to argue with the credit card company. If you get any correspondence, calls or e-mails from Alvita I would not respond.

yes I've used my vouchers from Alvita. We went to Portugal with ours but not all the flights were free, six of us went altogether, but we had to pay for three of the kids flights. Not bad though considering we went in the school holidays, so a weeks holiday for 6 of us just cost us the flight tickets for 3 and the resort was nice where we stayed (and the admin fee of course !) We are booking another one for February half term so will let you know when I hear back from them

There is still no UK company called Golden Travel Limited so I don't see how it is possible to deal with it.

Fortunate that the previous poster happened upon this site - with a glowing reassurance?
