Greystone, Dunstar, DGS Brokers, Real Escape raided - info n

I understand that a single office housing the above has been raided TODAY (which is why Real Escape has still been contacting people this week - as all these people need is a phone and a place to sit).

The local police will be glad to receive complaints -- through Spanish consumer protection at cec@consumo-inc.es

Please forward details of the company which approached you - what did they offer - personal names if given - did they request and did they get money - how, how much and when did you pay - has the company provided anything at all that they promised - have you had money refunded - what is the current position?

If you are able to scan and send copies of payments, e-mail/ contracts or other info from them this would be helpful.

Thanks Fred2 for this information. I am ashamed to say that I fell for the sucker punch twice - once with Etoo and then with DGS (and Real Escape tried for a third !). I was unaware of anything wrong with Etoo after parting with my £850 until DGS phoned and told me that Etoo were being investigated for fraud. However, DGS could recover my money if I sold to them and the contract I would sign would be for a definite sale not for marketing. I fell for the scam. Like a lamb to the slaughter I paid 900 euros. And of course, the sale never happened - though now I am told I could sell through them to Full Circle Holidays if I paid another 900 euros. Cheek!!
So thanks for the information. I have been in touch with the European Consumer Centre in Spain as above and just hope they are able to do something about DGS (and Etoo as well).

Hifred2 Just had a call from Chris Park from Real Escapes offering me £9000 for one week of my timeshares I take it they are a big conn. They want a 600 euro dep which is refundable and as long as I dont give them the 3 digits on the back of the card I will have no trouble getting the money back. They sound so convincing talking about timeshare laws and sending everything by air shure and giving me thier phone no and adress.Ive not been on the forum for a long time so Ive prob missed all the info.

See the post above. If you give them money you will not get it back. You will be stuck with a "contract to market" and they have no intention of selling your timeshare. What did they say about "timeshare laws"?

Twit - Real Escape have been closed down once but of course all that they need is a phone and a place to sit and they are back in business. This will not please the local law one bit. I am sending you a pm.

Hi Fred we were taken in by both DGS Brokers and Greystone which cost us 900 and 995 Euros respctively. DGS said they were brokers and so had not come up with any buyers but Greystone claimed to have a two buyers both of whom, of course, could not come up with the finance. Eetoo and Real Escape also tried but did not succeed. Will report through the site you mention. Thanks,Valfran
