It is virtually impossible to cancel points and membership with Diamond Resorts. We have tried. I am 72 years old and my husband 67. We live 6 months in New Zealand and 6 months in England. We cannot use our DR Points in New Zealand as they have no resorts there, we do occasionally use II but it works out extremely expensive with the Management Costs of DR and the Exchange Payment for II. We prefer to stay in UK for our holidays when we are over in the UK because of the long haul flights we have every 6 months, but it is virtually impossible to get a week in the UK.
So we spent weeks and weeks corresponding with DR last December/January appealing for our points to be cancelled and our membership also. We found we could not afford the excessive increase in the management fees. Unfortunately, even though we pleaded with them, they said NO, catagorically NO. Wouldn't reason with us etc etc.
Our family do not want our points, we would gladly give them away (is there anyone out there wanting 4,000 FREE Diamond Resort Points, they can have ours.
We started off buying a floating week at Los Amigos Beach Resort in Spain in 1989. We made the wrong decision in being persuaded to change to points in the early 2000s. We feel we have had our money's worth out of our initial payment on buying the week and then converting it to points, but the Management Fees are crippling us.
Surely something can be done about this.
We also had a week's floating time at Four Seasons Vilamora in the Algarve. 4 years ago when we started travelling backwards and forwards to NZ (family commitments) when requested the resort just took our week back, no problem at all. All it took was a letter of request. We thought that was all we had to do with Diamond Resorts. But no - they like their pound of flesh - how do they get away with it.
How do I cancel membership with Diamond Resorts

There is a long correpondence in the Daily Mirror about this.

Start around January 30 2009 and particularly look at posts by Marines.
One of the clues is to make sure you are writing to the correct part of the Diamond Resorts Company.

Monty: Thanks for the link to the Mirror: have posted my letter there. When we wrote to DR our correspondence etc was passed on to the top man himself. The lady in the office at Lancaster did her very best for us by finding out exactly who to write to. I think she was extremely embarrassed when I got the response I did get, which was they virtually are not interested and couldn't care less about anything except our money!! Oh I forgot to mention we had to fill in a means test!!! we are both pensioners and they still turned us down. There is no way out.

The point of asking you to look at the Mirror article is that it shows you how to cancel.
Have you read that thoroughly AND DONE PRECISELY what is suggested?
If you have then tell them you have moved to New Zealand. Invite them to sue you there.

Start by reading Colin J. Spencer's post of December 24th. He tells you how to resign.
You could also try writing to f.curtis2@ntlworld.com. who said: "I will produce a write-up on how we managed to get shot of Diamond and not have the fear of court proceedings hanging over us like the sword of Damacles and I can send it to anyone who enquires."
Note Marine's letter on that same blog - detailing who you have to write to. This is critical, write to the wrong entity of DRI and they will say "They don't operate a programme of resignation".
Look at Bluesman's post on February 9th 2009 11.20.
Now look at the post of February 10th 6.12 pm
The correct address to post to is indicated on February 12 1.33pm
The letter from the "Marines" February 22nd ought to reassure you.
Finally look at the correspondence from Lee Newbon dated July 3rd 2009.
If one member is allowed to resign then all of them should be allowed to do.

Good day, sun shines!
There have been times of troubles when I didn't know about opportunities of getting high yields on investments. I was a dump and downright pessimistic person.
I have never imagined that there weren't any need in big initial investment.
Now, I feel good, I begin take up real income.
It gets down to choose a correct companion who utilizes your funds in a right way - that is incorporate it in real deals, parts and divides the income with me.
You can get interested, if there are such firms? I have to answer the truth, YES, there are. Please get to know about one of them:
