They put themselves forward as being a legal or quasi-legal firm which is about to embark upon a class action against various people. They take advance fees 'to finance the action' but nothing ever actually happens. They are always "waiting for a court date". Nothing will ever happen. They are cheats.

All that they appear to do, and they may not even do this in all cases, is to complete an EC standard complaint form and send it to the Spanish consumer protection office in Madrid. They should not do this as the form is intended to be used by consumers to make complaints directly to traders. The consumer protection organisation complained to KPTA last September but has received no explanation from them . There is a statement about this on the consumer protection web site.

You should not under any circumstances enter into any dealings with anyone who cold-calls, even if they say that they have government backing (they have not), appear to know all about your problem (they have bought the information from the people who originally scammed you) or even say that they already hold funds to compensate you (they do not as the system does not work like that. They generally want you to pay something like "Spanish VAT" to release the funds. Fairy story.).

Please be aware also that ETOO has started to try to reel people in for a similar class action. This cannot possibly work and ETOO propose to take 40% of any winnings. This company is not to be trusted under any circumstances.

Please come back here - to the appropriate thread - if anyone else tries it on. They will, because you are now on a list which will be sold on.

I have just been contacted by this company and they sounded very convincing. I am glad that I have read all these comments or else I may have been taken in by him.
I wasn't asked for any money now, maybe that will come on any future calls. At least I know that it is another scam

Udate on K.P.T.A rang Gail Hughes agaim last week ,she said Club Class have
exhausted all avenues now about going to court. Guess what though still waiting on a court date, i re-iterated to her that its a con and that they are still conning people by cold calling them and have done for years, the phone was promptly put down on me.
I have noticed a thread on this site by ROSIE KELLY employed by K.P.T.A.

pbuckley - you clearly know that KPTA are never actually going to do anything. Spanish consumer protection even have a warning about them on the front page of their site. They may well be able to help you get your money back

Fred,
I e-mailed consumo-inc.es,regarding Key Properties the answer stated.
From our side we can only do mediation,we have no power to force or punish them. In any case,we haven't received individual complaints about them, which we would need to inform authorities for further actions. If you have had a problem with them and would like us to deal with your case, please send it to the U.K European Consumer Centre, they will tell you what they need to deal with it directly.

In view of what they say about KPTA on their own site I find their answer very odd. Of all the scam companies in Spain they choose to mention only this one on their front page. I would be inclined to send your complaint to the address they give.

Fred2,
I have e-mailed and i suggest every one who has been scammed by K.P.T.A to do like-wise.Let the spanish authorities know the full extent of the scams they have achieved.
