Leisure Network - Holiday Seminar Con?
I write today with regard to a letter which i received in the post offering me a free self catering holiday for 7 nights for up to 4 people. We must attaend a holiday seminar by a company called leisure network limited has anyone heard of them?.They are not listed on any web site. The stipulation also requires me or my wife to be in full time employment which we are not. They also say that we must pay 49.50 processing fee each plus 29 passenger/security duty fee.Oh no children under 7 are allowed to attend the function and it lasts 2 hours. On arrival we receive 70 worth of high street value.I am sceptical for two reasons 1. they don't have a website and they are not known even though they say they are the fastest growing holiday company,i think not,2.they sent us a letter meant for another couple in the west midlands. This shows their unprofessional qualities, i would appreciate greatly your views on this matter should we attend?finally they mailed us at 928972 on our letter. That is a lot of people getting these letters for us all to be winners of competitions don't you think

Crossing over into Holiday Club marketing do you think?
No doubt entirely respectable but just look up Holiday Clubs in general with a Google search then decide if you want to spend time with any of them! They could of course be The fastest growing holiday company two customers last week & ten this week would be a growth rate of 500%, but it wouldn't make them BIG would it?
Isn't it odd that all these companies want to give us prizes and don't want anything in return! You really wonder how they all make a living don't you? Cynical? Too right.

Re: Leisure Network - Holiday Seminar Con?
Hey guess what I to have won a weeks free luxury holiday up to 1,000!! all I have to pay is 39.00 admin costs plus airport taxes, and we need to attend a 2 hour seminar in Milton Keynes for that I will be shown any location of my choice in Spain (out of their brochures), and just for attending we're also getting the choice of a DVD player or an MP3 player for free!!!, the letter is headed SKY Travel Centre - sounds good doesn't it, I looked up the address in Dunfermline no website only SKY Travel - I phoned them up and asked the lady if it was the SKY Travel centre as on SKY TV - no she said its the SKY Travel centre, VERY misleading, I told her I had won a 'prize' a free luxury holiday she corrected me by saying no its an award! not a prize, I asked her what the company got out of giving us a free holiday and was told this way is the most cost effective way of promoting our market. PLEASE beware the letter will say SKY Travel Centre do not confuse this with SKY Travel - I almost fell for it hook line and sinker until I came upon this page - thank you all that I didnt' t fall into the trap, I should have listened to my Dad he always told me you get ought for nowt!!!!

Hi
Please be wary of anything that you receive of this nature. I am not saying that this company is fraudulent but things may not be as explained. I use to work for a company called TWTI inthe 90's and they operated under the same sort of premise that seems apparent with this company. Firstly the actually booking fee and airport tax would almost cover a package holiday in itself. More importantly the presentation and then subsequent sales pitch was aggressive and sometimes demoralising. I am an exerienced sales person and was shocked at the manner in which some companies operate. What is the need to bring ID with you. If it was not you how would you be aware of the promotion. Secondly why would it be essential to ensure that you or your partner - or both be in full time employment. It would seem to me that they want to ensure that you are able to enter into a credit agreement. The company that I worked for claimed to be with RCI. TWTI subsequently went into receivership and a lot of people lost substantial sums of money.
The people you will deal with in timeshare are hard and well trained sales people. Please do not feel that you can handle this kind of sales pitch. If you are convinced to go into one of these presentations then I am sure they will convince a good proportion of you to enter into a timeshare purchase.
I do not say this lightly. As a timeshare salesperson I was trained to coerce, humilate and bully people into buying. I have had people crying at my sales table in the past. We used exhaustion as our main weapon to enable a sale.
Please be wary.
This company may legitimate but it all sounds very familiar. Err on the side of caution. Nothing in life is free. BUYER BEWARE!!!
Search Google under "Sunshine Travel" & "Club La Costa".
I wish you luck if you attend one of the presentations.

Well, it's 2006 and, yes, I've also won a holiday with Leisure Network - same conditions but this time a trip to Maidenhead to COLLECT my prize. No mention of any sales talk.
Has anyone actually been to one of these events and, having declined to partake, actually got the promised holiday? So far, all I've read indicates that nobody has actually tried to get the holiday.

We won one of these too. Called the freephone number and asked them for a website. www.clublacosta.com A founder members of the organisation of timeshares in Europe. If you are told that this isn't timeshare then they are lying.

Leisure Network - Holiday Seminar Con?
hi,
I have been hounded by this company for the last 3 years, don't hav eanything to do with them. I have politely told them that i'm not interested but they seem to take no notice.
Once i was told to f-ck off when i told them that i wanted my name taken off the list.
The last time they called today i put the phone down when they said who they were and now i'm receiving silent phone calls up to 10 a day from them.
have nothing to do with them.

Leisure Network - Holiday Seminar Con?
Oh dear,
I just got the call too and they're sending me a letter and want me to attend a seminar on the 28th July.
The web address they gave us was www.clcexhibitions.com and they use Jennie Bond to advertise them.
They were quite upfront about the fact that they would try to sell us stuff which is fair game but has anyone actually gone for the holiday yet?
If so please let us know.

Leisure Network - Holiday Seminar Con?
I WORKED FOR THIS COMPANY!!!
They are based in Ashton Under Lyne in Manchester and here's how it all works,
1) You attend a free seminar and they preach to you about timeshares,
2) You sign up for a timeshare
3) You get your holiday to your timeshare paying for flights and taxes etc...
I worked at Leisure Network for 1 week and left because it was a waste of time for everyone involved!
