Lion Resorts holiday club

Won a free holiday? Suspicious? This is the place for you!

Postby lionhave scammed me on Fri Apr 04, 2008 08:58 am

I am now very worried as I have almost finished paying for my membership (paid 2150 so far), did have a few issues booking my "free" holiday and it ended up costing us 1100 for the flights. I have now had a letter confirming the holiday and all the "specials" that were promised are not coming into fruition! I now feel that I have been ripped off! I am waiting for a phone call back, but I am not holding my breath!

Thanks for the last few comments... I feel a lot better now. I just said to my husband today that we had paid our mony and we would make the best of it and there is no use in crying over spilt milk, and it now appears that Lion may not be as bad as they seem. I suppose feeling sceptical is a natural reaction when you have forked out nearly 3k and have nothing to show for it!

I know you'll prob all hate me cos i work in Lions hotel program! I came on here to find out what people think about Lions and it's obviously not good! I don't know all the in's and out's cos that's not my job but as far as i know is on the free holiday they offer you a timeshare package. As i understand there's no obligation to buy that as is also true with the 3 year "experience". I believe that if you use the "experience" to your full advantage then you can save a hell of alot of money. The "experience" is not timeshare but you can use timeshare appartments. If this is not true then i'd like to know as i'm a nice person (really i am!). Has anyone on here been using the 3 year package for a couple of years?? Or been on more than the free holiday? I'm not usually a fan of these forums as i think they can scare people, the "experience is supposed to work to your advantage because they obviously would like you to buy into the later long term package! I don't know a huge amount about timeshare but i know Americans love it and it work's well for them. I understand that Tenerife put the willy's up people cos there was some really dodgy timeshare companies out there. I hope Lions is not one of those and i have spoken to my bosses on numerous occasions to clarify that what we sell is what you get and no one get's ripped off! I'm gonna speak to my big boss about what i've read on here tmrw to see what she say's. Please don't go crazy at me i'm just trying to find more info just like all of you! x
