Hi, myself and my partner have just returned from a two week holiday in protaras cyprus. we were stopped in the street wikth the usual scratch card trick, won the STAR prize and was asked to go to a hotel called the Malamar for a 90 min talk. As it was on the way back to the appartment we went just to see what it was about. My partner was given a free bottle of wine and we were supplied with drinks whilst being thrown the sales pitch. We were told about RCI , the three year membership, the fantastic opportunities etc etc.. shown the apartments which looked like a show home. We were asked to choose a resort for a two week 5* holiday, to be taken in the next 18months and were given a price for the holiday, excluding flights (but given 300 vouchers) and RCI membership for 3yrs. The total was £2795 which was more than we had expected and we declined. The reps tried offereing us an instalment scheme, we declined that also. We left with a free holiday (or so they say), 7 nights for 4 people at one of their resorts. We were told we will be contacted by the company in due course. It would be good to hear from anybody that has been on the free holiday (thats if it does exist)!!! We nearly signed up but im glad now that we didnt!! It was a very good sales pitch tho and im shocked at what ive read on here. I hope you all get your money back.

hi, my husband and i got roped in by lion resorts a few weeks ago on holiday. Last week i emailed them twice, the first email got ignored the second one didn't, infact they responded 10 mins after it was opened. two days later they issued me a refund and cancelled our agreement.

i am one of the lucky ones. After signing the agreement, i felt that something wasn't right, so a few days later, we went back to the resort that we were shown around. I did ask a large number of questions and did manage to gain a lot of evidance to say that something wasn't right. On returning to the uk i furthered my research and found out just how many eu regulation lion resorts had broken, I was lucky to have enough evidance to get my money back. I have been however looking at how i could take them through the eu courts, as they need stopping before more people loose money on them.

So i think i will be making this my little pet project, something i can really get my teeth into, so if anyone needs help getting there money back, then i would love to try and help. It might be worthwhile getting a lot of cases together and then taking lions resorts to court. if i get enough response from this i will post a contact email address, so that i can look at each indavidual case on its own merits,

here to help

just set up an email address, for the sole use of this topic. So if you want to email me direct, with regards to your experiance with the lion resorts and what i can do to help, then feel free, i will get back to you as soon as i can.

the email is:- getyourmoneyback@hotmail.com

i will try and get back to you within 24hrs.

Just incase you are still wondering why i am prepared to help you. I made a promise to the reps i spoke to at lion resorts, on the day we signed the agreement. I promised them, that if what they was telling me about the holiday club, flights etc, turns out not to be true and is a rip off, then i will make sure, that they would regret ever signing me as a member. They need stopping, the means they use to get people to join is totaly against the eu fair trade directive and it is a practice that should be stopped. Someone has to stop them, so email me and together we can acheive this.

regards

We bought at Lion Resorts in Egypt last year and have just had our first holiday in one of the luxury suites at the Tamra Resort. At the time of buying the membership I did not feel we were put under a great deal of pressure, the rep was lovely and the package seemed (and still seems) like a good deal. Before signing the contract we were told it was a non cancellable contract and even both had to sign to state that we understood this.

We were told in our Thomas Cook welcome meeting about the membership and no pressure was forced on us to go and have a look, I understood that we would receive our money off excursions whether we bought the package or not.

Our first holiday was brilliant and would have cost our family the membership fee of 2595 easily, for the All Inclusive accommodation, transfers and the money we received back off our flights.

However now we have 3 years cheap deals with RCI to look forward to.

I see it as a win win package. For those of you who are having problems with your membership - call member services as they have been very helpful for all our holiday needs and explained any queries we may have had thoroughly.

Yours sincerely,

Happy Members

Way to go HONOUR1, Nice to see something positive at least.

I joined Lion Resorts back in March this year and like quality in my holidays. Usually pay in the rgion of 3.5K .
We were told before purchasing that the agreement was non cancelable and we were asked to sign paperwork to say that we understood that. I girl that went through the paperwork explained everything and was very good with answered all my questions.
We received a welcome call 1 week after arriving home and asked if we had any further queries on returning home.
Like you I have found Member Services polite and curtious.
I needed to change my payment plan after signing the agreement due to the credit crunch and Member Services were both approachable and accomodating.

I understand the new resort in Paphos opened on schedule, and I can imagiine they may have a few teething problems in the first weeks. I too have been though this with my own business in the UK so I can unerstand all to well.
But, my family are loooking forward to our Holiday later this year, we are certainly going to give it a go.
Reading the comments on this site it makes me wonder, who actually here has taken their holiday with Lion resorts. As if they haven't how can they slate something they have not tried just by speculation.

IP ADDRESS BASED IN CYPRUS..
Happy employees again no doubt.
