Sorry i was not aware i was not allowed to name names, I have writen to the financial ombudsman,
I did also find out that o t e has a rather prominent name on their list of directors so they are never going to help,

hi fred just what does it meanthat the tsb can be made responsable i paid by debit card the bank has said last year there is nothing they can do because of this have written twice to try and get my vouchers no luck club class say they have nothing to do with the holiday club that we joined but all the paper work has club class heading the the folder is all theirs so why cant they be brought to bare any help please val

This thread was not intended for discussions - it was just to inform people about the House of Lords ruling. It is about CREDIT cards and items bought on CREDIT such as hire purchase (not overdraft). The legislation does not cover cash payments - which is what a debit card payment amounts to.

Can anyone help we have just had reply from our c/c saying they cant help us get our deposit back as our cancellation letter was more than ten days after we signed the contract.
as we did not have a cooling off period and didnt know that DWVC
were a scam untill we got home, are they still liable?

I made my Holiday Club purchase in 1999 and paid a large deposit by credit card. The credit card co refused to pay out. Is it too late to pursue the matter again.?
