Drayman - we have recently read your blog re Freedom Vacation Network. We were telephoned by a lady in Gibraltar purporting to work for Reclaim Ltd. She told us that she had all our details of joining this "Holiday Club" in March 2008 thru Holiday Emporium and she would be able to help us reclaim our monies due toFVN going into liquidation. 2 hours later we had a call from Future Admin Group in Barcelona advising that if we paid £250 they would offer a week's free accommodation in Tenerife, an appointment with a consultant who would help us reclaim our monies. They phoned 3 times advising our monies would be refunded less 10% and to look on the www.Timesharehelp.co.uk website as there were several threads there, including people who said they had carried thisout and had their monies paid back in approx 4 weeks after visiting Tenerife. We are of course very sceptical. We have been "assured" by Future Admin that we will not be subjected to any more heavy sales promotions etc. when we visit. We have decided that £250 is a very small percentage of the monies we paid up front, very stupidly, so it may be worth going out to Tenerife. Did you take any further action on this?
Do not go. Any legitimate Timeshare buyer ( if there are any )will not ask you to travel to another country it can all be done through the post if you do it properly, solicitor etc.If you look at other forums as well as this one the message is clear, once you are there you will be subjected to a sales pitch and be talked into joining another club.
As for them saying that people have received money back, they do that by just posting on sites like this, telling a pack of lies. Keep your money in YOUR pocket.

My good lady has been down to the Citizens advice today, and we are reliably informed that we should bombard our memebers of the european parliament with our comlaints and grievances. Chances are we will come up dry.................but hassle hassle and hassle and you never know

We have not yet decided whether to go to Tenerife in December - it could be just another scam and bait to fill empty timeshare apartments as San Andreas is a big timeshare resort and £250 for an apartment is not a bad price to get. We are in touch with the European Consumer Centre and Trading Standards Institute. We are quite realistic that we probably won't get any monies back from Reclaim Ltd and we certainly are well armed with information, names of people involved etc. and will just say NO to any timeshare selling antics. We will post any further developments in due course.

Make sure you take no method of payment.
Make sure you are getting the partment for free in advance - usually the scam is to pay you back in five years.

Remember, that the way to tell when a Timeshare salesperson is lying to you is, when they first open their mouth and start talking.

We have just been very stupid and i am getting very nervous after reading reviews about holiday clubs. We agreed to join club class concierge on 15/9/09. We paid £1200 by credit card and agreed to take out finance which seemingly is through Tescos to pay the remaining £2595: costing £59 for 60 months. There have offered us a variety of free accommodation holidays and other bonus's.
I suppose it is very unlikely i will get my £1200 back if i decide to cancel?? And i am concerned if i am bound to pay the remaining £2595?? Or if I have to pay the £1200 but do not have to repay the remainder; should i just pay the remainder and hope i get some gott value for money holidays??!!!
HELP>>> ALL COMMENTS WELCOME EVEN IF IT IS TO TELL US HOW ******* STUPID WE ARE!!

To Patchina. Re your thread of today Monday 21 Sep. If you wish to cancel now and therefore probably lose your £1200 already paid then go ahead and do it. Make sure you are not paying them any further and take steps to cancel Tesco finance if you have committed yourself. The scammers will probably send you threatening letters, photocalls etc but stand your ground and do not pay any more. You will probably be in a loss situation for the £1295 just like we are and many others. There is new legislation for a cooling off period so contact the European Consumer Centre/UK Trading Standards Institute, email www.ukecc.net for Holiday Clubs. There is a form to complete telling them of this scam. We are already in touch with them. Good luck!

It might be a longshot, but try contacting Credit Card company and see if they will refund you.Could take several letters to them before they act.

I also was one of the poor sods who fell for the patter, even though I'm still on the Books of Freedom Vacations, who have now changed their name to Pro-travel- Solutions plc So basicly I can still get my cheaper Holidays, But the flights are not cheaper,
Holiday Emporium, was an outside agency used to bring customers in, When I spoke to Pro-travel- Solutions plc They said they had nothing to do with the running of
Of this company, or how they run their business,
I've also beeen bombarded by The re-claim people, and they refused to give me one customer who has had their money back, I've also e-mailed the Hotel Andreas in Tenerife, of which they're giving away a free Holiday, and for £250 help you get your re-claim money back, they've yet to e-mail me back about these so called meetings, We've also got the same thing from La Pinta, who've offered us the same deal but cheaper,
SO HAS ANYONE GOT THEIR MONEY BACK
