Please find below e-mail received from National Timeshare Helpline, looks like the usual scam to me or does anyone know any different?

From the East – M4-M25
M25 junction 15 on to M4, M4 take junction 7, proceed to the roundabout, then left onto the A4 to Maidenhead for 3 miles, cross the river bridge. Turn right immediately into Ray Mead Road and Concierge House is 50 yards down on the right hand side over looking the River Thames.
From the East – A4
Cross the M4 roundabout, follow the signs to Maidenhead for 3 miles, cross the river bridge. Turn immediately right into Ray Mead Road and Concierge House is 50 yards down on the right hand side over looking the River Thames.
From the West – M4
As per the instructions “from the East – M4”
From the West – A4
Follow the signs to Maidenhead, cross the first roundabout, and the following two, at the fourth roundabout, turn left into Ray Mead Road. Do not cross the bridge, and Concierge House is 50 yards down on the right hand side over looking the River Thames.
From the North – M40
Exit at Junction 4 and join the A404 to Maidenhead. Follow the road for about 2 miles and you will come to a roundabout, go straight over, still heading for the M4. Take the 2nd exit, approximately 2 miles further on marked Maidenhead (A4). Carry on along this road for 3-4 miles into Maidenhead, when you will pass the “Windsor Castle Pub”, go over the mini roundabout and continue down the hill into Maidenhead. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit, still heading for Slough (A4). Go straight over the next 2 roundabouts and carry on until you see a Texaco petrol station on your left. Turn left at the roundabout into Ray Mead Road, and Concierge House is 50 yards down on the right hand side over looking the River Thames.

Ask yourself, where you cold called? How did they get your tel number, email address, etc. As so many say on HW forums, If cold called = scam.

We lasted 2 minutes at Club Class Concierge at Maidenhead, as soon as he showed me an e bay listing of time share up for a penny and said he could get my money back in 3 years i knew it was the same old scam, i raised my voice and was asked to leave crooks i tell you all crooks. Also they have a great way of setting u up before u go in by getting that Chris Quinten bloke to chat to you shame i didnt recognise him till days later....................STAY AWAY

Does anyone know anything about Simple Marketing Solutions, based in Crowborough
offered to sell my Infinity points, said that new laws state that selling must be on a face to face basis!
Ask for a £99 refundable deposit which ensures sell/buyers will turn up for the meeting.
Any comments would be appreciated, I presume another scam.

I am writing a review in Dutch to warn the Dutch tourists!

Wij zijn op straat benaderd door twee mensen (Manfred en Jennifer) die ons een een verhaal vertelde bezig te zijn met een promotionele activiteit om meer bezoekers te krijgen naar Tenerife. Wij kregen drie loten. Na de loten te hebben opengemaakt bleek dat wij twee flessen wijn en een gratis vakantie hadden gewonnen. De vakantie was uniek. De man die ons de lootjes had gegeven ging helemaal uit zijn dak. Dit was fantastisch! Maar een op de zoveel duizend mensen wonnen een gratis vakantie. We zouden de volgende dag worden opgehaald met een taxi en als een VIP worden behandeld. We kregen nog wel te horen van Manfred en Jennifer dat we moesten liegen over de leeftijd van onze dochter en mijn beroep (?????). Bij het ophalen van de prijs moesten we vervolgens een drie uur durend verhaal aanhoren over de voordelen van een club (RCI). Door lid te worden van deze club kreeg je vele voordelen maar met name heel veel korting. Tot wel 50% op elke reis. Het verhaal was warrig, onvolledig maar vooral een grote OPLICHTING! Om lid te worden moest je vooraf eenmalig Euro 19.900,- storten. Dit bedrag zouden we meteen terug krijgen als we het lidmaatschap zouden beeindigen. We moesten wel ter plekke Ja of Nee zeggen. Nou mijn antwoord was NEE. We werden vervolgens meteen naar buiten gewerkt. Aan ons viel blijkbaar niets te verdienen. We kregen nog een boekje mee waar onze "prijs" in stond. En dat was het.

Ik heb deze club doorgelicht: Het blijkt een Time Sharing activiteit te zijn met een (volgens de Nederlandse wet verboden) pyramideconstructie. Je krijgt bij opzegging alleen je geld terug als er nieuwe leden toetreden. Hun geld wordt dan gebruikt om jou terug te betalen. Er wordt je zelfs winst in het vooruitzicht gesteld als je zou opzeggen. De organisatie rekent dat 12,5% provisie over de winst. Klinkt aantrekkelijk echter bij een pyramide constructie hebben de oprichters vaak zelf de eerste 10.000 lidmaatschappen (met een inleg van 1 Euro) voor zichzelf opgeeist die meteen weer zijn opgezegd. Zij komen dan ook als eerste in aanmerking voor de teruggaven. Jou inleg van Euro 19.900,- dus!!!

Het feit dat de oprichters ook gebruik maken van een zogenaamde Trust maatschappij geeft aan dat het allemaal geen zuivere koffie is. Je kunt namelijk bij een Trust nooit achter de identiteit komen van de oprichters. Zij pakken de poen (jouw inleg) en zijn meteen weg. Jouw geld is ook weg!!!!!

Kortom: Ga niet in op de gewonnen prijzen. Haal ze niet op. Als je iets minder sterk in je schoenen staat wordt hier meteen misbruik van gemaakt. Het is een grote oplichting.

Just an update, wife and me have been mainly posting on cashback as it was relevant to our case.

We just had our a/c credited today after a fair old battle. I've made reference to how we used the industry guide @ www.getmymoneyback.info and am posting as my wife has just texted me to inform me that it is now on for less than a bloody tenner!

Bit pi$$ed off as we paid 25 quid, but hey -it did the job and we are now free of all of this sh!t.

Have found it strange, as we didn't think it would be that easy to rectify due to the cashaback issue we had. But we got our letter on Saturday and the funds were in our a/c today, so well chuffed - but NEVER again!

Biggest lesson we learned was you need to tap into the industry info.

No disrespect but we trawled all the bloody forums and came up with zilch! Unless you have a straight forward timeshare deal with a cool off then you need to seek specialist advice.

We wasted over 3 years fighting this on our own, so be careful about how you go about things, we nearly lost ours due to poor (but well intentioned) advice from forums (John from Bristol you know who you are lol!)

Not in the habit of recommending anything, but credit where credit is due we followed the instructions to the letter and took time to read it properly; be warned it might take you a couple of evenings though...

That aside , it was bloody simple to do and had nothing to do with the way we'd done our cancellation letters before. Let's just say we were barking up the wrong tree with that one , along with most of our fellow victims on forums such as this one.

Gotta go now,as I'm at work and have kicked the backside out of posting about this subject on all the forums we are members of.
