Hi, new to this site, but wanted to get something out about a company called Ventura.

I had a call from them last week saying I had won a free hamper and European break with having to do nothing but attend a presentation with them - "not a sales presentation and no obligation". All of this on the back of a questionnaire I had allegedly completed....I initially agreed, however, on the back of some surfing had decided this was probably a hard sell and wasn't interested - a company with no reviews, no web site, no registration on Companies House...hmmm

However, this morning, I recieved a call from the guy who initially called to make the appointment. He advised me to search for Frank Madden on line - what a horror story has unfolded...this guy has walked out from the company after realising what it is - basically a con, hardselling a worthless holiday club. Mr Madden is all over the net (and this site), I understand is banned from being a company director, has been prosectuted by Poole council, the list goes on....the former employee has a heart and needs to be praised for his brave act! Hopefully no one gets caught out by this....

My Mum and Dad recently returned from a holiday in Rhodes where they have ended up signing a contract with CLub Greece. Luckly they have not paid any money to Club Greece. I have got advice from Timeshare org and have followed what they have said about sending a letter and have also followed this up with emails to cancel the contract. I have today spoken to an employee of Club Greece who has stated that they are not part of OTE, they do not have a cooling off period and the contract stands. I have informed the employee that the conversation was being recorded and that I would see them in court. Can anyone give me any further advice regarding cancellation and Club Greece.

Drayman - we have recently read your blog re Freedom Vacation Network. We were telephoned by a lady in Gibraltar purporting to work for Reclaim Ltd. She told us that she had all our details of joining this "Holiday Club" in March 2008 thru Holiday Emporium and she would be able to help us reclaim our monies due toFVN going into liquidation. 2 hours later we had a call from Future Admin Group in Barcelona advising that if we paid £250 they would offer a week's free accommodation in Tenerife, an appointment with a consultant who would help us reclaim our monies. They phoned 3 times advising our monies would be refunded less 10% and to look on the www.Timesharehelp.co.uk website as there were several threads there, including people who said they had carried thisout and had their monies paid back in approx 4 weeks after visiting Tenerife. We are of course very sceptical. We have been "assured" by Future Admin that we will not be subjected to any more heavy sales promotions etc. when we visit. We have decided that £250 is a very small percentage of the monies we paid up front, very stupidly, so it may be worth going out to Tenerife. Did you take any further action on this?

Send me £5,000 and I assure you you will get all your money back. Plus I will give you another £20,000 for your timeshare.

Do you believe me? No of course you don't. So don't believe them!!

To update our thread we completed the booking form sent by Future Admin Group in Barcelona giving a date when we wished to travel to Tenerife. We also asked for assurance we would not be subjected to any further sales promotional rubbish which Vicky gave verbally over the phone. Almost immediately we received a reply that the first available dates would be December and not early as we had requested. . We replied confirming a date in December since when (3 days ago) nothing has been heard. We have read somewhere that it could be possible the date will be cancelled at the last minute, leaving us with paid airflights, or on arrival in Tenerife would be advised the accommodation is not now available, again leaving us stranded. We are going to insist on the name and address of the so called consultant we are to meet, and also a confirmation of definite accommodation booking from the resort itself where we are told will be reserved for us. We now wait and see! If nothing transpires we intend to make a denuncia and follow it up.

Incentive Leisure Group, Cashback certificate.

We joined the Holiday Club DWVC in February 2004, and this was purchased through a company called Incentive Leisure, we were issued with a cashback certificate which had two parts, and was supposed to give us a minimum dividend of 10% of the purchase price. As directed we posted part one off on the correct date, and the second part, in time for the second date. We have since had correspondance saying that both parts of this certificate were posted too early, and therefore we are entitled to no cashback. We were advised to contact Stuart Tristam, who is acting for Incentive Leisure group as we are lead to believe they are in Financial difficulty. Has anybody had a similar experience, and were they successful in getting any cashback settlement ?
