Privilege Club

Hi
We have just been visited by an advisor from the Privilege Club (powered by RCI points) who has offered us one million RCI points at a relatively cheap price, with no annual maintenance fee, although you have to pay 21 per 10,000 points used.
Has anyone else either heard of them or been approached by them and have any info.

hi,
Looks like ive been had! I signed up with privilege in January of this year and got my million points. I have struggled to book flights, cars etc. Managed to book accom through RCI and my points seem to be ok with them.
Did you sign up?

We have been to a couple of these RCI meetings and they do seem too good to be true. My advice is dont bother!!!! We had one meeting locally where we were 'guaranteed' a holiday, we were curious so we went but what a total waste of time, but you can so easily be taken up with the enthusiasm and spilge from the reps. The other time we were in Fuerteventura and it was an overcast day, nothing much that we had planned for the day and was approached by a guy with scratch cards, so decided to go and have a chat about holidays. We knew that we were not able to go in for it but strung them a long a bit, had coffee and they showed us around the complex. Villas were lovely with all the mod cons but who wants to be bothered with crystal glasses and food mixers on holiday (no different from home ha!). All in all the deposit they wanted was far beyond what we could afford (about 6,000 UK if I remember and then we were not impressed with the holidays anyway with all the time slots etc. just seems so complicated and tricky to arrange. We made sure we came back with the freebees though, 2 tatty T shirts (which we have never used) and more importantly a bottle of champagne which they were reluctant to give us. When they say things are free or good offers there is always a catch. You dont get anything for nothing.

We have just bought into the Privilege Club and we are not happy.
We were told we could use the points towards flights and car hire but now we find that they just look on the internet - there are no special deals. We are never going to use our million points up each year on just accommodation. We already have 3 weeks time share with RCI, and have now paid another 8500 to join RCI Privilege Club but it is certainly not working for Us!

We have belonged to Privilege Club since May 2005 and what an improvement from RCI! We hadnt used our time with them for more than 2 years and couldnt sell our weeks. We were nervous to join another club, but decided to risk it and have now had 2 lovely holidays with them - Sharm el Sheikh last July and just back from Tenerife. Also have booked for Croatia for this summer. Very happy

I'm a member since Feb 2005 and found it perfect so far - we got free points for joining which covered one holiday and now have booked flights, accom and car hire for Florida this year. No complaints at all.......
