RECLAIM Certificate - have you got one?

Dopey - this site is not owned by Thomsons and I am just a user of it, like you.

There is only enough money in the pot for all claimants to get 10% TEN NOT ONE HUNDRED PERCENT. You will not get 100% back through cashback unless you follow all the procedures to the letter, all the other people with cashback certificates fail to claim and the cashback company doesn't lose the money in a bankrupt bank (has happened) or make off with it. These people are, if not born liars, certainly very well trained liars.

From the complaints here and on other sites it seems that many sellers are now not merely using clever sales language but are practising criminal deception.

dear fred 2 i am at the moment trying to get out of a contract i signed only 3wks ago, i felt ok about everything till gettin on this web site. Can u confirm that sunttera will not sell 2 dwvc and if they take my points i could still be paying maintenance fees?!!!!!!!!!! spainwashed

spainwashed - is Reclaim involved here? I confirm that Diamond does not permit the sale of UK points to anyone other than an existing member nor does it permist the use of a sales agent. They will not accept any such transfer and you remain owner of the points.

tracey roberts - the new boss at sundance, was the old manager at ILG Malaga until she got sacked for poor sales results there, (hence the reason it has closed down and is becoming the new HQ and warehouse). Tracey and a few of the other reps from Malaga are now based in the UK at various places, exceter, wantage etc and all still work for the wonderful(!!!) Timelinx/ILG/DWVC/Reclaim/Casshback etc......... so it's still al the same company - stay away!!!!!

Thomsons do not have anything to do with this site at all,, and as for sour grapes,, take a good old brows through all of these people posting on here after loosing cast amounts of cash.

I do wish people would research these companies before they hand money over.

Thanks for replying. Fortunately we were able to stop the cheque. We'll obviously be taking advice now as to the best way forward. I'll keep people Iupdated. I just cannot believe that this fraudent miselling is still allowed to carry on. with so many people keep losing thousands of pounds, how can this company still be allowed to carry on trading?

I agree with you about the research. When swift marketing company phoned asking if we were wanting to sell our timeshare, he didnt tell us it was a holiday club. He said he was phoning on behalf of a company that specialises in the buying of timeshares and that we would get more than we paid for . I then asked what did they do once they bought peoples weeks off of them. He told me that they were wanting to turn them into flats to rent out. I thought it was a property company. When I came off the phone and started to think about it, I couldnt understand for the life of me how that would work, as they would have to get everybody to sell their weeks. When we got there I knew that something was wrong and I said to my partner lets walk out of here. He wanted to stay. It was his timeshare, so I couldnt argue. When we were infront of the salesgirl, I grew even more uncomfortable and I said to my partner infront of her, to walk away. She obviously knew how desperate he was to sell, and started sprouting a lot of figures as to how much he would be saving in maintenance, and when he dies his daughter will have to take the debt. That was the thing that clinched it. he was so worried about his daughter having to take over that responsibility. I was in a difficult position because although I felt very uneasy about the whole situation we were in, at the end they were very persuasive sales people. If this was a reputable company, and My gut feelings were incorrect, my partner would only have blamed me for a lost opportunity to sell it. He'd had it on the market for 3 years, and looked at this as a golden opportunity. I am just absoulutely gutted that this gross lies and promises are allowed to carry on. I cannot believe how this company is still trading, and as for the sales reps I dont know how they can live with themselves lieing to unsuspecting people day in , day out.

Hi Dopey (Penny?),
I can really sympathise with you, as I had a similar experience with ILG. In my case it may be too late to recover anything other than the timeshare certificate. This was forwarded to them on the basis that they would take over from Jan 2008, leaving me with no more management fees to pay! How wrong and stupid can one be?
Still getting demands from the resort for payment!
If any further problems the only option available to me will be legal action, as they have obtained the certificate by deception.
Good Luck to you and all other members taken in by these sharks.
As you say, how can they sleep after their nasty day's work?

fred2 sorrry not replied sooner, yes CashBack was part of the deal. they have rung and said we left it to late 2 get out of contract but we have not heard from them for over a week now- spainwasshed

fred 2 they have phoned to day to say they will meet us half way and we can retain our diamond points but we still dont want to pay rest of the money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! have they taken any big companies to court over the last few years and won? this is what they stated this pm. have thwy taken anyone to court for pulling out.
