Must be open season again, contacted by another company yesterday and Sea Star this morning. Both assured me emphatically that at no time do they want up front fees! I predict that in about 2 weeks a'buyer' will have been found and a 'bond' will be required. Still, while they are wasting their time with me, they aren't pestering someone else.

And lo - it came to pass that in the last couple of days Seastar have indeed "found a buyer" but they do (surprise surprise) require an up front fee! So just over a week between contact and a buyer!

I have just been contacted by a Rep from Seastar who insisted that there is no upfront fee for his company trying to sell my Timeshare Points. He offered 10p a point! and said I would only pay circa 12% of what they sold my points for, AFTER the money was in the Bank!! I've told him I am searching the Internet for any indication that this is another scam. He is ringing me back tomorrow (allegedly) and I'll report back in after his call.

The money will be in your bank - and there will be nothing up-front to pay - except Spanish Taxes, Document Translation or similar.

And be careful of cheques into banks, the "take in some money and send it on to us" scam works like that.

My guess is that in a few days they will claim to have found a buyer, but will require a bond. When yiou say that that was not what you were told, they will apologise profusely and say that they will re-brief the sales rep!
