Starting Point Marketing

I was contacted by starting point marketing with an offer for my timeshare in tenerife, The gentleman i spoke to was very nice and helpful but i did make the silly mistake of giving them my credit card details and 1200 euros was debited from my card. I received the contract and was not happy with it so i called and spoke to a member of their legal team who advised that if i was not happy to send everything back to them with a letter and they would give me my monies back. I did this but never thought i would hear from them again, I had already contacted my bank to reclaim my monies back. But to my surprise I received my 1200 euros back into my account on saturday even though it took nearly 4 weeks. So there is some light at the end of the tunnel.

I've foolishly been scammed by Starting Point Marketing. Has anyone got a copy of their Terms and Conditions I could aquire? They did not send me any and even though I've requested them to send me a copy they have not responded. I can't claim with my credit card company without this documentation. Does anyone know what has happened to them? There was a Police Raid on their offices in May and their web page has disappeared and no contact can be made with them as they don't reply to e-mails or answer the phone. Any help will be gratefully received.

I am currently taking my credit card [ barclycard] to the financial ombudsman, My defense is I was dubious, phoned barclycard asked if I gave my card number without 3 digit security number could any money go from my acc. Was told no , but they still paid the !!!!!!!! HAVE recordings of conversations and letters but they are still fighting it.So much for the so called insurance. Have only just found this forum, downloaded it and sent as supporting evidence today.MARTIN
