Sugar Reef Travel Clubs Free Holiday

Hi
Today we have been to Kent to collect our "free" holiday. This is exactly the same as everyone has described. We turned down all of there offers and they excepted this as we have a 6 week old boy, not a lot of money and dont plan on doing big holidays for a good few years. But we had to listen to the 2.5hrs presentation. They were asking us to give then 12,000 yes twelve thousands pounds !!!!!, and on top of this you have to pay 368.00 per year to be a member. You can go on holiday yourself for 400.00.COMPLETE RIP OFF we said no and got our 10 Next voucher and the free holiday with Sugar reef travel club but after reading all of these comments dont think we will bother its not worth the hassel.
YOU NEVER GET SOMETHING FOR NOTHING !!!
And we spoke to the guy who cant say his H,s, there was also a bald guy and a Irish guy.

MUG is my second name
Just come back from my holiday in Tenerife with Sugar Reef.
Now when we went to the presentation back in Feb 07 in Exeter we were given the Sugar Reef Leaflet and paid 99 so we could go to Mexico or Florida, instead of the 49 which only took you to Spain, Canaries etc had a phone call in Nov to say that one of our chosen dates were available to go to Florida, after waiting nearly nine months for this date to arrive we had in fact aready booked another holiday so wern't able to take up the offer so they said that we had refused this date and would be able to go to tenerife in Feb our next chosen date but when i asked for a refund of 50 each because tenerife was only 49 anyway they said no, anyway we arranged to go to Tenerife i had to book the flights so all in all this cost me 358 flights and 198 for Sugar Reef. I must say the accomadation at the EL Nautico Suites were in fact first class very private and at least 4 star in Spainish terms. This is wher the nightmare begins. We knew that when we arrived we had to sit through another presentation but thought whats an hour out of your holiday so our presentation was for Thursday, met up with a guy called Luke he said at the start that we shouldnt be here, we wondered why but he went on tried to sell us another scammy holiday club for 15,000 we said no, but he had to talk to his manager, she came down and said that we shouldnt be their because we had only had our VIP points for a year and another thing was that we hadn't dated a survey form back in Feb 07 when we bought ou VIP points and we will be liable to pay for the accomadation we were staying in that was 800Euro (600) we tried to explain that Sugar Reef obviously sent them this survey as they knew all about us but they didn't want to know, they escorted us to a cash machine only managed to get some of the money had to pay the rest by card, we were gutted felt rather sick really that this could happen to us. So everone please be aware leave these so called "FREE" holidays a mis.

Hi everyone,
Has anyone got the address for Sugar Reef Travel Club head office. I know it's in High St Exeter but I've lost my letter - trying to claim some money back but probably wasting my time (have sought advice from Trading Standards etc - wish me luck).

Anyone new to this company and just looking - don't bother!

Hi Everyone,

Following a very stressful trip to Exeter in September 06, where an obnoxious man decided I was to blame for being there and not interested in his product. Despite all the sickly sweet phone calls persauding us to just go and listen. No seminar, just a face-to-face hard sell off an over-tanned lady dripping in gold who regularly goes to these holiday places - one good reason for us NOT to join, I thought. Boss man threatened to tear up my free holiday voucher because I didn't fancy his scheme so I walked out while my husband waited for the 'luxury' (ha ha) hamper, 10 Asda voucher and holiday stuff. I decided we had earned our holiday, so paid 3x 48 membership.

We have finally, this week received our holiday offer to travel in 16 days time, via Manchester airport (we live in Cardiff). This was our 4th choice. Had long ago given up and booked something much nicer anyway for that week. I was just browsing to see peoples comments before taking up one of the 'alternative' offers instead. But I think we will put it down to experience and cut our losses.

BE WARE, over the last 10-15 years we have fielded a large number of cold calls, letters, acratch cards etc and not got taken in - this company managed to talk us both into going to Exeter, they are very persausive.

By the way, only when this holiday offer came through did I finally know that I would have to listen to 2.5 hours of time-share stuff if I went there.

They have kept their side of the deal, just, but getting that 'free' holiday is not easy.

Weary ,
Thanks Fred I will do as you suggested yes we are all disgusted but who wants to admit we were silly to go along with it, they are a sickly sweet bunch . And others do not deserve to go through with what everyone else has, so come on lets all put a letter in we might not get anything but we can stop this lot of doing it to others. Weary.
