Sugar Reef Travel Clubs Free Holiday

Many thanks to Fred2 and Weary for the addresses. Have sent recorded delivery letter to the Exeter address yesterday but I think I might try a copy to the other one.
I'll keep you all updated.
I cannot believe we have been so stupid. I'm so glad we didn't try and go on the 'free' holiday.
Hopefully we will have put off anyone else from going to the presentation who has enough sense to Google the company first.

We too were conned by this company some time ago now, yet they poned just last week to say we were still owed a free weeks holiday. My husband asked for our admin fee back 49.00 each I believe and was told this was not possible.

Bunch of bloody crook!

Hi all,
You will need to apply for refund in writting ( as they only deal with phones calls normally no way of tracing things in writting hey) to the Sugar Reef Club as suggested by the comsumer hoiliday reply from Freds addresses he gave. They also say check the fine print very carefully to see if there is a breech in something . They have however passed the information on to others. So watch this space. Mo

Oh dear, I wish I had read this before paying my admin fee. I have written requesting the fee back after 2 years passed with no offers of any of the 4 chosen dates. I have had no reply. I have threatened small claims court - no reply. I am about to phone to check which address I should serve my claim on.
We did atleast get a free set of knives and a hamper out of them as we said 'yes' at the presentation but then said cancelled in the cooling off period - playing them at their game!

Grumpybob - no such thing as small claims court. Small claims track of County Court. They would serve the claim on the defendant (unless you particularly want to - not recommended). It can be served on the place of business but you need to be absolutely sure that it is correct. Pref. serve on the Registered Office (my post 4 April above) - you can check the current R/O at www.companieshouse.gov.uk using "webcheck".

Advisable to write by recorded giving them say 7 days to pay or you will take action. You will probably be able to make a claim on line at
www.moneyclaim.gov.uk/csmco/index.jsp Note that the minimum fee is 30.

lol i worked for travelquest , inspirational holidays , sugar reef ..or whatever you want to call them ...its a joke they lie to there staff as much as they do the people . i was one of the people who phoned people to offer them there holiday and we were trained to lie to people to make people greedy for holiday .

no one i have ever spoke to got the free holiday to my knowledge , however i might be wroung . would love to hear from someone who went to the presention and did not buy into club ,and still got 5 star holiday ..........

how the company is still running worries me. a lot of people must buy into it because they pay there staff quite well

Phonemonkey,
You might have been a member of the staff and they may have lied to you, but you really need to come out of the training mould and not insult us any further by calling us greedy. These have been honest trusting mistakes not greedy just trying to stretch low budgets and provide for our families. You obviosly know the lies and therefore must understand how they lure people into a false sense using peoples trusting natures. You may have not realised and agin I find myself giving you the benefit that you to were lied to. But please do not insult a group of people of really nice people who trusted the lies. We were honest silly but honest.
