Timelinx - Success With Booking?
just wondered if anyone has had anything to do with Time-linx.While in tenerife my parents paid into time-linx a whopping 7 thousand pound to become members.for this membership they would be able to get cheaper flights and cheaper accomodation anytime they wanted and in 3 years there initial membership money would be totally refunded. As they are returning to tenerife they decided to give time-linx a try. When they phoned for flights they were told a price higher than that of a regular travel agent. They told them how in tenerife they had been promised cheaper flights as low as 99 each. The office based in england said they shouldn't have been told this as this is not the case. They then told my parents to take it up with the Time-linx reps at the resort,as there was nothing they could do about it.Has anyone actually joined Time-linx and benefitted from cheaper flights or accomodation?

Apparently the whole thing was a scam!! We were all ripped- off!! We did the same as your parents and were promised a cash back! Basically it was impossible to claim the cash- back.
As you said, getting flights etc is a joke. you are at the mercy of the usual offers etc which anyone can get. You might be lucky and get a cheap flight or not!! The whole thing ends up about the same as everyone else pays.
We have paid thousands for nothing.
We tried to claim back through Credit Card but reached a dead end. You could try this if you've paid this way. Contact Trading Standards.
It's sickening that these people can get away with this.
Regards.

We are from Australia and fell for the scam in Spain on the Costa Del Sol, we paid a deposit with the balance to be paid when we got home, did some more checking and came across this websight and read all the emails, also did some checking on (had the time to do this when we came home) the various companys quoted by DWVC and Timelinx also Designer Vacation Club. Have contacted Australian Timeshare watchdog and have contacted creditcard provider, hoping to recover our deposit. I have asked for deposit back because they did not disclose all the facts ie we might get back 5% to 100% of our money back within 5 years (have since found out that there is no guarentee that we will get any more than 5% if that)

My husband and I fell for the same scam in 1999. In over 5 years of memebership we never manged to access flights or holidays at decent prices.
I have now been in correspondence with the "reclaim" outfir for over 3 years and am yet to see any money back. Our 4,600 had turned into 500 none of which we've yet seen

Timelinx - Success With Booking?
We have just returned from a holiday in Gran Canaria where my husband 'won' a free holiday from timelinx under the name of gtcert and it is a complete joke. Thankfully we didn't join thier exclusive club offer as we were tempted at the time. When we tried to claim our holiday we were told to send credit card details so they could rtake an admin fee of 58. We were also given documentation which looked fine with contact telephone numbers, emails and addresses. However the emials i've sent have all been rerturned as it's not a recognised address and the telephone number is false. I'm so glad that we haven't sent any persobnal details to this bunch of monkeys - it's obviously a great big scam to con people out of their cash. Be on your guard! i'll be reporting my experiences to ABTA and trading standards too.

We seem to have a rash of people saying that Timelinx is the best thing since sliced bread. It is certainly not the experience of the majority, the Office of Fair Trading warns against ALL holiday clubs, many of the people on this forum are trying to get their money back because they were lied to and DWVC/ Timelinx is not honouring the undertakings given to the OFT only a couple of years ago, nor are its sales agents.
I think that it is very odd that people are popping up to support them. I think it odder that Mogan is using the forum apparently to give advice to somebody who posted here TWO YEARS AGO.
