Having joined this club on holiday in march 08 on my first time abroad,we had a scratch card and saidwe hadwonsomething big, so wewere askedto attenda a presentation and at the end we would get our prize ,we were told to lie about not having any kids and we have two also tell them we had a Mastercard in the hotel safe but we did'nt and don't posses one, we paid 50 euros deposit and the price for the platinum card would be 499-00 and therefore 99-00 a yr subscription we have paid 154-00 by bank transfer on the 1st april when we got home , but realised we don't want it , but it says if it is not paid they will take legal action what can i do .

Is this based in Benidorm? Can you give further information - address, phone, web site if any. Did they offer 'cashback'? Sounds like a new one.

Further info - web site "under construction" at www.traveltemptations.eu/
registered 21 Nov 07 by William Weatherill.

This operation seems to be an agent for the "Connections 6" on-line booking system.

Dilba - posting on four threads is rather over the top.

You have probably signed a binding contract - but they should have told you that there was a seven day cooling-off period and I don't suppose that they did. That is against Spanish law. You can't just ignore them - you need to write to them by an international signed-for service saying that you wish to cancel - remind them that under Spanish law they should have told you about the cooling-off period and that failure to do so makes them liable to action. Say that you are entitled to a refund of all money paid - although you are unlikely to get it. They will probably threaten but it would be very hard for them to take any action in the UK. Never speak to them - keverything to be in writing.

i have sent them a letter of cancellation by international recorded delivery and no they did'nt say that there was a cooling off period they just said it was contract that you cant cancel otherwise it would go to debt collecters and that was after we signed not before

Dilba - it is extremely unlikely that you will receive any refund. You have sent a letter of cancellation. Even if they make any more threats they are not well placed to carry them out, and the balance really is not worth their while to chase. Even if they did no UK court would award anything to them as they have not lost anything. Forget them - just don't speak to them if they call.

What makes you people think that this is a scam?
a friend of mine has also purchased the travel temptations gold card and so far he has used it 3 times once a holliday in greece. once to get to a surf comp in south africa once to fly to see me here in tenerife he says he has saved a fortune on flights as what travel temptations promised cost price travel and accomadation he says he is also going to be going to southern california later this year as he has saved enough on flights so far he can fit in a extra holliday on the money travel temptations saved him.

i feel it is wrong that folks just jump to the conclusion that all new holiday/travel clubs are scams and cons

so basicly travel temptations are a privately owned licenced travel agent that get you cost price travel for a anual fee.

just like many of the travel agents that do exactly the same for big companies around the world the diference being this is to the public.
