I'm delighted to have found you all, we thought we were the only ones to have been conned.
We were also reassured by Steve & Patrick in Tenerife that the 'Contract' with Holiday Solutions was just a formality to claim our weeks free holiday. The Van Gogh Contract was cancelled immediately on our return to the UK in April & just last week we were told that we wont be getting our money back, its been transferred to Holiday Solutions.
We've contacted our credit card companies and we're waiting for the relevant forms to arrive.
I've spoken to RCI in Kettering who advise they havent heard of Van Gogh Promoties but dont have a list of all the companies working for them. I've given them the agreement number on the signed RCI Contract and should get a response within 24 hours. I'll keep you posted.
Has anyone been able to find out contact details of the Directors of Kigirlo Servicios, I've found in other circumstances that the direct approach works!
Can anyone please let me know who to contact at OTE, I've trawled their website & cant find anything.
All advice much appreciated

Van Gogh Promotions are not RCI and should not be telling people that they are - not that that has ever stopped timeshare sales companies from purporting to be working for RCI.
They are not affiliated vendors for the RCI Points scheme so cannot do deal relating to RCI points - ceding weeks into the points system, selling points, etc. RCI have been in touch with this company and told them to stop, but whether they have or not is another matter. They have assured RCI apparently that they have!!!
I have passed on information about Bel Air and Van Gogh Promotions to RCI in previous months and I have asked an RCI director to check again as they may still be misselling.
It now seems that Holiday Solutions are saying that they are nothing to do with VAn Gogh, yet what people are signing up for is 3 years membership of Holiday Solutions (or that is what paperwork that I have seen is saying) - although people are being told they are paying a deposit for the timeshare deal they think they have entered into!.
I know it it easy to be conned by the plausible sales people who sell you the earth, BUT if the contracts you are signing don't seem to tally with what you have been told, then you shouldn't sign. You should read the contracts carefully - it does say on the Holiday Solutions one that the money is non-refundable. Those who paid with credit cards may be able to get their money back if they can prove they have been missold, but what about those who pay with debit cards?

My husband and i were also sold timeshare points by Van Gogh in Tenerife in April, like everyone else we have heard nothing yet. I have contacted RCI by phone who have no details of us so i have also emailed them and am waiting for more info. Don't know who to contact next. Both feeling sick to the stomach as we had paid full amount.

Just to update you on where we stand, im waiting for bank to contact me as they looking into all of it and they will be passing it on to other parties if they need to.
We have also been in contact with holiday solutions and they have contacted Van Gogh Promotions and are far as we know there has been some kind of mix up. We have been informed by holiday solutions that they are in contact with Patrick and they are trying to resolve the situation. Holiday solutions is waiting for Patrick to send all the names to them who have contracts. We will wait for the reply and update you all when they do.
Still not sure if this will solve it all but fingers crossed for us all.

A quick update.
We applied for a refund from our credit card companies under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Card Act 1974 on the basis that the document we signed (this is the Holiday Solutions document) was misrepresented to us and we were lied to on more than 1 occasion.
My husband has today received confirmation that the payment he made has been refunded onto his card. The card company are reclaiming the payment from the payor's bank and they will keep him informed.
I'm still waiting to hear from my credit card company.
We also heard back from RCI and they confirmed that Van Gogh Promoties are affiliated to them. This is very strange as they've advised suede42 that they're not affiliated. I'm not sure if I should pursue this.
We've had a reply from the UK European Consumer Centre in Basildon and they have requested copies of all our documents so that they can share our case with the European Consumer Centre in Belgium.
I'm hoping to go back to Tenerife in October & I hope that by then this shower of thieving cowboys have been run out of town.

Finally Van gogh promotions have cancelled our RCI contract BUT - keep telling us we signed a 35 month agreement with Holiday Solutions (our £600 deposit) which stated that no refunds would be given.
Its disturbing to read that Holiday Solutions disassociate themselves with Van gogh.
Congrats to those who got the money back - I paid by debit card so don't stand a chance.
Oh boy do we live and learn. When I go back to Tenerife if I see just one of those guys around the air will be blue

We went through our credit card company
Mastercard and finally obtained a refund of £1600 from Van Gogh on the grounds of misrepresentation as they said they were representing RCI and did not mention holiday solutions and that there was no cancellation allowed.

Mmm April 2008
I think that i am rapily getting an awfull feeling that i have been done.
Altogether i have paid £10.000 for fifty thousand R.C.I. points and i ave been chasing them for months about my membership number.
The person i have been dealing with is a female by the name of Pascale Portel again at Los Americas, again at Bel Air resort.
We were sold our time share by a black guy not sure of his name we were wined and dinned given shampagne and told that our membership number would be issued within 8-12 weeks. Now i have found this site i some how think i wont be seeing that number and my R.C.I. membership wont happen.
i too have contacted R.C.I. and they have also said the same they have no account of my membership.
What can i do now to resolve this problem? any one out there that could help, i am now gutted and skint, that was all of my savings.
