Van Gogh Promotions - Tenerife

This is a new thread for anyone who has been had by this company, and also a warning for anyone visiting Tenerife this year. Again the same old scratch card technique saying won a holiday or cigarettes and alcohol. In fact we got the cigs and alcohol, just waiting for the holiday!! dont think be getting it somehow.

Trying to find out ways to get the money back from this and dont think we are the only ones. We have contacted various companies about this including OFT, Timeshare Association and other people.

The company in Tenerife are calling themselves Van Gogh Promotions. Has anyone else heard of this company? They offered us all these great deals and we are still waiting for any paperwork. We have just emailed OFT to make them aware of this scam. They said they were associated with holiday solutions and we have contacted them about this and they claimed they arent involved with Van Gogh Promotions. Also lots of other people have contacted holiday solutions regarding this as well.

We have not lost as much as other people but would like to get our money back, so any advice would be appreciated.

The domain vangogh-nv.be is registered in Belgium and has been live since 2002. The domain vangogh-nv.es (which does not have an attached web site) was registered in late 2007. The registrant is Jakoba Klazina Visscher known, I believe, as Coby Visscher.

It seems unlikely that this has anything to do with Van Gogh (OTE members) in Ghent however OTE will have a substantial amount of information relating to Visscher and I suggest that you should get in touch with them.

How is this company being linked with holiday solutions? holiday solutions are also on threads that say people are not happy with them. Do we have a bigger circle of interelated companies now? The above poster also says lots of other people have been in touch with holiday solutions according to oft, so are people also unhappy with holiday solutions and have phoned oft about them?

Homelover - I don't follow your reasoning. Above post states that Holiday Solutions say that they are not linked with Van G and that a lot of other people have contacted HS, following dealings with van G, and have apparently been told the same thing. This thread is about Van G.

yes van g are saying they are interelated with holiday solutions but holidays solutions say they have no contract so its not holiday solutions thats to blame in this situation.

We were just trying to find out if we have paid for nothing as had no documentation has arrived from the van g company. They contacted all the documentation was waiting to be updated. But been waiting for more than 2 months now.

We were at the Belair in Tenerife 2/5/08 and signed a contract with Van Gogh Promoties (Peter Johnson)who said they worked for RCI

We cancelled 14 days later but they didn't give us our �1600 back as they said we also signed for Holiday Solutions at the same time and you were not allowed to cancel this.

We thought we were dealing with RCI only an no mention was made of Holiday Solutions (no cancellation allowed) Holiday Solutions are owned by Kigirlo Servicios which is on the timeshare blacklist

They said the �1600 can be used against RCI points if we pay them �3100 within the next three years

hi mcmcmc where in Belair did you sign the contract?

The place where we were was opposite Meditarrean Palace and they had offices there. They kept us there for about 4 hours. I would advice not to pay anymore money and contact OTE like we have or contact RCI for advice to see if they are connecting to them. Sure you have read this already on the posts.

Fred 2 - no not heard of OTE, will let you know if do, going to see if can any joy from the bank but dont think I will.

Am just in the middle of photocopying all my documents with Van Gogh to send to my credit card company. we were well and truy conned by this sales group in las Americas. will post the results of my communication with the CC company when they reply to me.

fizzyj when did you join? did they make out they were your best friends and offer you everything as thats what they did with us. I dont know how they get away with these things but we all know that they do and sail off into the sunset with our money!!
