World Travel Services LLP / Holiday VIPS

Received an offer of a free holiday this morning (16/09/2005) from World Travel Services LLP so did a google search and came across all sorts of interesting facts!! WTS LLP are dissolved on Companies House although the "registered office" on the letter I received (Balmoral House, 11 Turnpark, Station Road, Chester-Le-Street, County Durham DH3 3DY) is different to that on Companies House!! Partners listed on my letter are D Marshall and B Armstrong. Telephone no: 0191 389 2288. Post Office address finder listed the business trading from that address as Holiday VIPS. Crimeshare website had a company called Quality Travel Services LLP trading from that address with similar complaints that I've seen in these forums and others. I've emailed the editor of Crimeshare with the same info as I've posted here.
Just thought I'd keep as many people as I can informed. Thanks.

Please Do Not Subscribe To Holiday Vips. They Are Still Based In Durham And Are Now Trading As World Wide Travel Services. They Have Conned Us Out Of �2500, We Have Been Unable To Action Out Small Claims Case As They Have Now Changed Name.

Holiday VIPs LLP is not World Travel Services LLP. VIPs changed its name twice this year, first to D & A Leisure LLP, then to D & A International Leisure LLP, although their web-site remained in the name of Holiday VIPs LLP until it vanished in September (I have a copy). The partners are Derek and Alan Cooke. They trade from Balmoral House, 11 Turnpark, Station Road, Chester-le-Street and an address in Elland, West Yorks. Look at the Companies House web site. This will give the sequence of events. Company ref: SO300225.

It still exists at today's date. If you have cause for action against Holiday VIPs LLP it will be valid against D & A - a change of name makes no difference.

World Travel Services LLP is a partnership of Brian Armstrong and Dianne Marshall. It came into being in September 2005, has not officially changed its name and it is therefore NOT Holiday VIPs LLP by another name, but a separate business. Company ref: OC315217.

www.companieshouse.gov.uk - go to 'tools to help you' then 'download free company information' and enter the company reference quoted.

The Cookes also have a new partnership, Quality Travel Services LLP, also based at Balmoral House. Co ref: OC314032, incorporated in July 05 and presumably doing the same thing.

I noticed that you referred to World Travel Services LLP in the header, then to Worldwide Travel Services LLP in the message and though that this was an error. It isn't. I looked it up. Worldwide &c is another new partnership of Armstrong and Marshall, registered on 14th September. Co Ref: OC315156.

It still isn't Holiday VIPs LLP, though, and their doings are the responsiblity of the Cookes at D & A International Leisure LLP.

I have noticed a lot of post's from you on this site regarding holiday clubs. I have also fell for the con, do you know anyone who has been to court? I have just recieved a county court judgement today and need to send my responce any help would be appriciated.

The company who are taking me to court are World Travel Services LLP, I did send a letter cancelling the contract but because there was no cooling off period they are still trying to get cash. (�2250)

Is this a real County Court Judgement, a County Court Summons, something that looks like one, or are they saying that they will apply for one if you do not pay?

Is this a contract for membership of DWVC? What is the company name on the contract and who signed it for that company? Which sales office did you attend and do you have any names of staff?

Did you pay the deposit by credit card?

Trading Standards and the Office of Fair Trading hate these people.

DWVC have made an undertaking with OFT that they will not use agents who do not give a cooling-off period.

we got this through our door on saturday and called to see what it was all about - the "lady" i spoke to wouldn't give me her abta number but stated they were abta registered and could therefore not be linked to timeshare - and she gave us an appointment to meet a travel consultant named Dawn on saturday 25.06.06 at 3pm at their premises in Bill Quay -after reading this lot and doing a google search and seeing the listings at company house we don't think we'll bother - please warn everyone else!!!!!

Neither World Travel Services llp nor Worldwide Travel Services llp are ABTA registered. If the woman that you spoke to said that they are she is lying. This is pretty much the level of honesty at which they operate. They certainly have no concept of decency.

They could not become ABTA members because they do not sell holidays. All that they do sell is Holiday Club memberships for Designer Way Vacation Club. These are essentially worthless.
