| We've just been contacted by D & L Leisure promotions and told we have been awarded a free, no obligation holiday for listening to their promotion. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had dealing with them and whether it's worth going...
Any advice / info would be appreciated, thanks

| Ok...this is common in the timeshare industry, you go along to the promotion, normally in a big town near you and listen to a sales pitch. You decide not to buy as you dont want/can't afford it. It can be quite a fun day with a buffet and drinks You ask for your no obligation holiday. They give it to you its normally for quite some time ahead and the date keeps getting put back and put back! or there are other fees to pay, you pay them and stil the date gets put back. Or you go and you are not actually staying in the main bit that they are trying to sell but in the grotty bit they can't get rid of, google the name of the company as there are quite a few scams relating to to this. Remember the golden rule with any thing like this, is that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!. Good luck

| Can't make it to the meeting tomorrow so I'll have to wait a bit longer; they phoned me today to stress that it isn't a timeshare company - when I pressed them I was told they were an "at-cost travel agent" and everything will be made clear when we go to the meeting...

| Have just had my 75 year old Dad on the phone for over an hour going on about being offered a free holiday from D and L. I told him to forget it, but he's adamant that there is no selling involved. Thought I'd google D and L and came up with your letters. Did you ever go to the promotion and more importantly - was it a con or did you have a wonderful free holiday? I would be really interested to hear your reply.
