We went to this company to book a trip to America just yesterday. The man we talked to was ever so helpful, said we didn't have to pay until December, two months away. We could have gotten cheaper tickets directly through the airline, but because we didn't have to pay right away, that sold us. We paid our deposit and booked the tickets. The next day we got a call saying our payment due date was moved up to one week from today. Deposit non refundable. What a bunch of con artists. Make all the promises on the phone, get the deposit, then ****** the customer. I would advise staying away unless you are prepared to pay for the amount in full (in which case just go to the airline direct because it is cheaper!)

~We have used this company numerous times over the years, the agent we always ask for is HELEN. She is a gem. Unlike some of your more unfortunate contibutors we've never had any problems with this company.
Flights have been as we've booked, Helen emails and phones to update us, checks if we need anything else. Payments have been made exactly as instructed to the time they're asked for.
It is not always cheaper to go direct with the airline, we fly a lot with KLM to the USA and believe you me Dial a Flight have been cheaper! I might add their car hire for the USA is also very good value.
I would recommend Dial a Flight.

“We spotted the post from Damien and Angela and have a great deal of sympathy with them.

Remember we are only acting on the information given to us by the airlines. It is they who decide when things have to be ticketed. When this booking was made on Sep 20th, KLM's computer showed that the flight did not have to be ticketed until Dec 22. (We suspect that this might have been a mistake for a Christmas departure). They then brought forward this ticketing deadline which meant that the flight had to be ticketed within seven days or the fare would increase.

Airlines are doing this rather frequently in the current tough trading conditions.

Obviously we can't issue tickets unless full payment has been made. So if a customer doesn't want to pay then there's not much we can do apart from cancelling the booking and refunding the money which is often not of much use to the customer.

As you'll see this is very much out of our hands. So please don't shoot the messenger!
